We have had the Country Inn & Suites (now Radisson) for years and loved it. The points add up fast, we were always getting free nights plus a welcome bag when you arrived that usually had water bottles and snacks. Last year decided to try Hilton Amex and this year IHG Rewards cards. The points take forever to add up, our welcome in Hawaii yesterday was a glass of juice for each, the welcome at HI was a choice of 500 points or you could choose one snack from a box they brought out (chips, soda, no water). The Radisson hotels can be cancelled up to 6 pm on the day of arrival. The Hiltons and Holiday Inn need to be cancelled the day before the reservation. This is difficult to do when driving to your destination due to weather, car problems, etc. Since we drive to Florida and back to Minnesota every year as snowbirds we have to be flexible regarding cancellations. Not many Radisson options out west or in Hawaii though. For us, we will go back to using our Radisson card.
