Keep in mind this is not really a roller coaster park like Cedar POint, its a theme ride park like Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean kind of. Best rides IMO are Spiderman, Jurassic Park River Adventure, the main Harry Potter ride, although this area has 2 roller coasters (one is a double). The Hulk coaster is really cool and fairly unique it launches you out instead of the typical click click click up the lift hill.
For the other side, the Rip Ride Rocket coaster is one of the newer attractions and is a large ride, although I have not been on this yet. But best rides on this side IMO are the Mummy (the best), Men In Black, the Terminator (show not a ride) I even love ET. There is also a simulator ride based on the Simpsons, that is supposed to be neat, but I have not done that yet.
Another Dr Doom fan here too........love it and after the first time when I was convinced I was going to fall off it........I started to not hold on and not have the harness tight. Love that out of seat feeling I got very brave This is one ride we also do over and over again using EP queue.
RRR is fantastic if you are near the front. I find it very rough towards the back, but love the climb at the beginning. First few times it terrified me but got to love it
Love Duelling Dragons, Hulk, Doom, JPRA and Spiderman in IOA.
In US love Mummy, HRRR, DM, Shrek, ET but hate The Simpsons ride
I"m odd in the sense that I love tall coasters, taller the better, but not a fan of the drop rides, so I've always skipped Dr. Doom. So point is, even not doing DD IOA is still my favorite park after even totally excluding that ride.
I would add to, the Dudley Do Right log flume is maybe the coolest log flume ride I've ever seen,, you do get wet on that though,
I'm not a big fan of traditional coasters, but I did enjoy "Revenge of the Mummy" and "Shrek 4-D" at US. In IOA, loved Jurassic Park River Adventure, Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, Forbidden Journey, and Flight of the Hippogriff.

^^^ This is why I like Dr. Doom despite hating typical "Drop" rides. I hate the slow rise and hate hanging at the top - but love the free falling. Dr. Doom gets to the top immediately. That's also why I prefer the Hulk's launch.
... and hate flying all the way until the descent starts.
