Can't wait for November - it will be our first visit to Vero Beach. We'll have a five year old and a 14 month baby with us and are wondering if someone could tell us what the balconies are like on the 2 Bedroom villas. Of course, we will keep very close tabs on the little guy, but his Mom is wondering how "safe" the balcony will be for little people. Is there a screen on the door or just the glass doors? (If the weather doesn't cooperate,or we don't get our top floor request, I guess the whole question will be moot. But hope springs eternal! :D ). Thanks for your help.

I have stayed at Vero Beach 3 times and always
in a 2BR top floor. You can usually get some
sort of view of the ocean that way.

The balconies are not as large as the porches
at OKW, but they have a railing that I would
guess is about 4 ft. tall. To the best of my
knowledge there aren't any screen doors on any
of the balconies, but I'm wondering if you could
bring along one of those door gates so you would
be able to have the door open.

Oh, and by the way, as with OKW, there are 2 doors
to the balcony (1 from the living area and 1 from
the master bedroom).

You will love VB and the area around it, especially if you're looking for a nice quiet vacation spot. Shutter restaurant has wonderful dining. There is a waiter there named Chuck who is
wonderful. We always ask for him if he's available. The pool area is beautiful and riding up and down A1A is a delite.

We stayed there last January after getting off the Disney Wonder Cruise. It was a bit cool then, but
much better than New England in January.

I'm jealous. Enjoy.
