I'm planning WAY ahead... but am planning to surprise my family with a trip in sept 08. Presenting this Xmas tho so i'd like to have somewhat of a plan in mind.
We'll be driving... from Ohio so it's quite a drive with some little ones.
I figured allow the weekends for driving and visit the parks m-f
I think 5 days would be max for a 1.5 and almost 5 year old. Will we be missing out on anything by not doing the weekends?

When our children were young we spent each Easter at WDW. Leaving NJ was much easier if we were traveling through theBaltimore/Washington area at off hours..way off. We would pack up the car during the day on Wednesday, put "everyone to bed" at the usual time, then carry them out to their car seats around 12:30 a.m. It takes 4 hours to reach the Alexandria bridge on # 95. Traffic was just beginning to get heavy between 5 -6 a.m. and we were leaving it behind. Richmond was another hour away but we only hit the beginning congestion. By 8 a.m. everyone was waking up and we were in North Carolina. Our restaurant choices changed over the years: first McDonalds to Shoneys then on to Cracker Barrel. We once made the trip to Florida and back stopping only at Cracker Barrells. Then we would have to return to N.J.- NO Cracker Barrells. But I digress...They are here now- but Multiple Sclerosis
