I know the parks and all that, but I was wondering if there was any input out there on things to do outside of the parks that is not commonly known. Not just downtown disney either. My reason for asking is because my family and I are going to the polynesian club level in may for two nights. We arent doing a park we were just there in December and did the whole thing. It is however going to ve my 21st birthday and I'm looking for something fun to do other than get plastered. However tips on good bars will not be turned down.

Thanks for any information fellow fans.

At Sammy Duvall's water center at the Contemporary they offer parasailing and water skiing. I think they also have tubing there. You can also rent one of the small water sprite boats at several locations.

Here is what I have found thus far

Race car driving/ride along richard petty driving

Surfing at typhoon lagoon

parasialin, tubing, water skiing, boat rentals Sammy Duvall

horse back riding

I looked at Disneys website under events and this is the list I got. Some depend on the date of stay. There is all sorts of stuff to do.

Have you done Hoop Dee Do Revue? Or the Polynesian Luau? Those would be fun on a birthday.

You could rent a boat and watch the fireworks at MK or take the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise. It's not just for kids. There were lots of people without kids on our cruise.

I for one would pick to go to JellyRolls at the Boardwalk if it was my 21st birthday. You don't have to get trashed to have fun there. I'm not a bar person, but this is my favorite bar ever. It's a piano bar and it's really a lot of fun. We closed the place down when we were there in December. You could do a nice dinner at Flying Fish or the Yachtsman and then head over for drinks and music.

Whatever you choose, have a great birthday!

here are a few of the things my family are planning to do outside the parks.
1) Big River Grille and Brewing works on the Boardwalk. We have never been here but they have specialty beers for the seasons that they make at this mirco brewery.

2) We are staying at SSR and there is a driving range along with the golf course.

3) mini golf at fantasia is not far from boardwalk. We have walked to it.

4) We like to take the boat from SSR to POR to watch the piano guy on the weekend.

5) We go over to the Poly to watch the beach to watch the fireworks at night.

6) We are going to try canoeing at the campground. The last time we went the river was too low.

7) We plan on visiting the new AOA resort and to get a slushie in our mugs at the POP.

8) Try the nightgoggles at the Animal Kingdom lodge one night.
