What Are Some Of Your WDW Traditions

We have to get my daughter's picture taken with the giant troll in the Norway pavillion.:hyper:

We always take a picture of our boys from inside the teacup while DH has it in full spin.:crazy2:

Always a fun pic. I will be so sad when they are too big for all of us to fit in one teacup.

My DH always takes a picture of our boys on the teacups. Started this when there was only one of them. We also always have at least one Mickey bar -- even if it is on the ride on the way home. It just wouldn't be WDW without at least one!

My DH's tradition, which we hope ended last year, is to get sick at least one day of the trip. This means that I usually have the kids for one day all to myself. While I cherish the memories of having all of their attention for a day, I would love to avoid my DH having the plague for a day!

We always go to DTD upon arrival. That really gets us into the spirit and we'll pick-up some new Disney gear for our vacation, usually a new plush character for DS.

We've only been four times as a family, and only two of those were onsite, but a pattern has emerged.

We eat at a fancy, fun place that first night - O'Hana's and Chef Mickeys, so far.
Go to MK first, where it always rains at least once so we can wear Mickey ponchos.
Older DS gets to "go it alone" in this park.
Always wind up on Tom Sawyer's Island for an hour.
Do a water park - only have been to TL, though.
Always buy a Christmas ornament (that cute Christmas shop in Libertyland).
Have a special breakfast on the last day before we say goodbye.

There is still so much of WDW for us to see! I can't wait til next time.

1. We always take a picture of our daughter eating a Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Bar.

2. We always eat lunch Sci Fi - my husband only make two requests and this is one (the other is to stay at the GF)

3. We always start and finish our trip with with MK.

Sharing your traditions I hope you have enjoyed reading the post's as much as I have.Thank you all for taking the time to share.::yes:: :wave2:

We always go to Chef Mickey's for dinner the first night we are there and we always spend our last day at the Magic Kingdom and ride the monorail one last time after MK closes. (and wipe away silent tears in the dark as the castle fades into the distance)

We always go to MK on our first day, and we always end the trip at MK!

Also - breakfast at Kona Cafe for the tonga toast! A must for every trip!!! The last four trips, its been our "last breakfast at the World" before we start the drive home!

Unlike most others, we always start our trip out in EPCOT. Our arrival time is always after 12:00 and during the time of year we travel, EPCOT is always the park open the latest, so we always begin there and start with a PS in one of the many wonderful restaurants in the park. DD and DS always enjoy finding their leave a legacy images as they enter the park as well.

There is always a walk through the rose garden in MK as well as the rose pathway in EPCOT at some point during our trip. Usually each time we are in those parks, we try to hit these areas.

On our Magic Kingdom days, our first stop is usually Buzz Lightyear, followed by the TTA.

We are almost always @ WDW on Mother's Day. Our tradition is to have dinner @ JIKO that night for DW. This year it may change to Valentine's Day as DW will be 8 months pregnant on Mother's Day 2005.

We also always meet some friends from Orlando for dinner every trip.

We also always eat Chef Mickey's for dinner on arrival night, and then always ride the monorail to MK in the cab.................................................

We always close at MK with the fireworks.........

We always take a day off in the middle of the trip for DTD.

We always eat lunch at Crystal Palace once on the trip.

And we've always done breakfast at CRT.........this will be the first time we aren't due to ds and dh request, so guess what I did? I booked PSB! The boys don't know it, but they're going to have to put up with the princesses after all.

And I have to have a turkey leg at some point on the trip.................

And we always buy one of those big rubbery dinosaurs with the stuffing and wire in them at AK................my sons just love them.

And we always get the Mickey wake-up call the first day, and my dh and I have to practically pull ds out of bed to get him to answer it, and when he's done, the traditional relay to us......."Mickey called, and it's time to go!" and off to the MK first day every time.

I love it!

We always do Haunted Mansion first. That's what we did on the kids FIRST trip and now it's our kick off ride. We must eat at Garden Grill at some point in the vaca.

My family usually arrives late in the day, we go to the ESPN club for a bite to eat. Then we go to the MK the next morning to start the magic!:bounce:

my son always has his haircut and pixie dust put in on main street
and face painted at animal kingdom...

until this year when is almost 9 didn't want to do them!!! yes I almost cried..y baby is growing up!!!!

Always ride BTM first at MK....then breakfast at Crystal Palace. In February we are making a change, doing lunch instead of breakfast! But will still ride BTM first.
