Let's see, I know of some ... Cinderella coach, dove release, bagpipes, Mickey & Minnie (or other characters like Major Domo). What are some others? Has anyone posted about a really elaborate custom wedding with some of those special add-ons?

There was an episode of Unwrapped on a Disney Wedding and a couple who must have scads of money to burn had a huge custom wedding...each layer of their 5 layer cake was a custom flavor...one layer was chocolate chip cookie dough, another layer was Reese PB cups...stuff the couple loved. They had Cinderellas coach and there was a course of ice cream served on individual ice sculptures with lights underneath...Mickey and Minnie and Donald and Daisy were there...I think the Chipmunks made an appearance...they had a specialized 7 course meal...all sorts of stuff. It was nuts! The bride had a bridesmaids tea party at Disney before her wedding with a Mad Hatter cake and Alice and the Mad Hatter showed up...I think Disney will do anything if you are willing to pay for it!

It sure looked like a blast!!! :wizard: princess:

One of the girls in that TV special posts here (the one with the "orange theme") if you do a search on this forum, you will see some of her posts.

I can't recall anyone else who had a "really elaborate" wedding who posts here (but maybe I'm just not paying attention! ;) )

I would suggest checking out the Disney Wedding Website (www.disneyweddings.com) and use the Wishbook feature to see all the options...

you can have fireworks set off after the ceremony at the WP.

There is a wedding taking place this summer that has added the custom fireworks show after their ceremony at 2 pm!! You won't even be able to see them during the day time!! I can't believe they are paying $2500 to have fireworks that they won't even see!! :lmao:

i guess you might be able to see them...at least hear them. Everyone has their wishes and desires. I wish I could afford all those extras. :)

They probably use some sort of special fireworks. I remember back in the day Epcot did a fireworks show at 3pm, and they were visible.

Maybe they're rather simple fireworks like at the end of Cinderellabration. You can see those, especially if the fireworks are not too far from the ceremony site.

I am getting married this June. We are having a brunch reception at the Beach Club Resort. As part of our fruit display we will be having a cinderella coach carved watermelon. I had seen this on one of the tv shows. It's really cool.

Blakekr, welcome to the Dis website.

I had a fun vow renewal. After my ceremony inside the Wedding Pavilion, my guests were transported to the Disney-MGM Studios Theme Park for an after-hours dinner reception. The party began in front of the Great Movie Ride where my husband and I had a “handprint” ceremony. Everyone then moved indoors for a progressive dinner party. Our guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks inside the Gangster Area, dinner inside the Western Area, and dessert inside the Land of Oz Area. Then everyone moved outdoors for a dance party beneath the Sorcerer’s Hat Icon. The evening ended at 2 AM with a custom “Kiss Goodnight” fireworks display that was set to music and was created just for us. It was a magical way to celebrate 20 years of marriage.

Here are some of the fun extras that I had at my dinner party : Hollywood Producer, handprint ceremony, Gangster, Gun Moll, Honky-Tonk Pianist, Cowboy, Cowgirl, Country Band, Glinda the Good Witch, mini-wedding cakes, Mickey Mouse, PJ the DJ, and a custom fireworks display. I wrote about the planning of my custom vow renewal in a trip report: click here.

If you are planning a wedding or a vow renewal, the sky truly is the limit. Disney is capable of pulling off your wildest wishes.
