I keep reading about that the Wish has a lot of dead ends, but other than the Cove Cafe dead end, have not read of any specific examples. Just curious if anyone could list some of the other major dead end issues on the Wish.

Thanks in advance for the help!

Your right the Cove Cafe at the adult pool, also the deck above it also goes to a dead end you have to go back to the stairs I think.

I think we had to go in the gym because the stairs were closed or it was a dead end can’t remember From being out on the deck.

There is a lot of going around centre things . Like on the 3rd deck to go aft stairs you can go on either side of Roy Disney or Walt Disney restaurant . The 2 movie theatres are on each side with the popcorn stand in the middle.

When we were on the Wish last month, there was an Exit sign on the door at the dead end around the corner from Cove Cafe. I was trying to tell my girlfriend that there was no point going all the way down since we'll just have to turn around and go back, but she said she could see an exit sign. Sure enough the sign on the door led us into the Hero Zone. I did notice on the inside (inside the Hero Zone) the sign said "Crew Members Only"... I took that to mean that they had heard the complaints about that particular dead end and at least added a door you could exit through.

On our first day aboard we ran into 3 dead ends and I was concerned that the whole cruise was going to be that way... but then we never had it happen again...

Just got off the Wish yesterday, and the only dead end that is worth mentioning is that of the adults only area near Cove Cafe. It dead ends near the aqua mouse on one side, and you have to walk all the way back around to get to an elevator or stairs. We found the adults area to be too crowded or too sunny most days, so the dead end didn’t impact us outside of noticing it the first day and thinking the layout was a little weird to not allow for another way out. There were other dead ends that we noticed when doing a full ship walk around, but they were outside deck areas that led nowhere. So outside of exploring the ship, we didn’t know why one would encounter these dead ends otherwise. I never felt we hit a spot and frustratedly had to turn around like others have implied outside of the adult area.

The only one that bothered me was on deck 12 port side, as there is no way to walk around the Slide-a-Saurus Rex. It just seemed really odd that you can’t walk all the way around that deck.

I still do not like the fact there is no covered walkaround/jogging/strolling deck for the ship. It just stops short for some reason.

the Hero zone is crazy with all the signs that say crew only. Not sure why it's like that.

If my memory serves me right the only deck on the Wish that offers a complete walk around the entire ship was deck 12. I think Deck 11 you have to go thru the QS/Marketplace. Deck 13 was mainly the adult area and Deck 14 was two smoker areas. I guess we could've walked around the stateroom decks but that's no fun, plus the decks are not straight.

Yeah it's super annoying. It effectively cancels the jogging track around the ship on deck 4.
So if you want to do some walking/jogging on the Wish you'll have to go to the treadmills at the gym.

I have this theory that they did this on the Wish because DCL isn't super happy about folks waking/running around the bow and stern on deck 4 where the anchor/winch ropes room & doors to CM's areas are. I've always wondered why do they allow ppl to walk so close to the anchor room with all the ropes so close to the track. I get that 99.99% of folks using the track understand the area is strictly off limits but there's always a chance of someone on the 0.001 tempted to do some goofing around or be 'curious about it'....it's a potentially hazardous zone so I've always Wondered if DCL was ok with ppl being so close to it.

So with the Wish they basically designed the area to prevent folks from getting close to it.
