What are Mypoints?

Hello,
I am new, but have read some threads that mention collecting "mypoints". What are these and how does a person aquire them? Also, what do you use them for?

it's a way to earn money by shopping on the internet. if you shop through their website, you earn points. you can also earn points by clicking on links in emails they send you. once you've gotten enough points you can redeem them for girt certificates to your favorite places.
