I am hoping to get a two bedroom at seven months out for next July at Vero do I stand a chance or should I just plan on booking two weeks at WDW????????

I think a 2 bedroom will be available if you call at 7 months. Of course, you can book the 2 weeks at WDW, and switch, if you really want to vacation those particular 2 weeks, that's what I would do.

I really want to do a week at WDW then another week at Vero Back to back. SO I want to ensure that I am away for two weeks. So do you think that is what I should do book extra time at SSR just in case...????

I am guessing that SSR is large enough to be able to book that other week there at the 7 months. So, no, if it's a matter of borrowing, don't just book a 2nd week at SSR early out. We're among the group of people who have had ressies lost when they were being switched.

I hope some people with more experience help you with this. I know that VB gets busy, full in the summer, but really, I think you'll be OK at 7 months. From what I read here, HHI is the very hard one to get for non-owners during the summer, and even then, many people come on to say that they've done it! We were at VB in March, and there were people there in a Beach Cottage who booked it at 5 months out. The only experience that really counts is the one you go through when it's "your turn." Pixie dust for you!pixiedust:

We took a trip to VB one March, and the weather wasn't even "ideal" but that didn't matter. After we left the resort, but before we got home, I was contacting resalers with the idea of adding on there. This, we have done!

We go to VB a lot and always have to do it 7 months out. I have gotten ressies even at 6 months out during July. I don't think you'll have a problem.
If you are worried, you can call every day for a week to get each day exactly 7 months out. So, let's say you are going July 6 through the 11th, just as an example. Call on Dec. 6 for July 6th, then Dec. 7th for July 7th, and so on and so on. They will link the ressie in the system so there will be no room changing or checking in and out, etc.

Thanks for the input.

Bobbi, any special things I should know about VB???!!!!!!!!!!!

I think your twins will be old enough to really enjoy the activities offered at the resort. I'll bet that the Unbirthday Party is lots of fun. I've watched kids do the treasure hunt, and play games with CMs.

We're bringing our young DGC to VB next June for their first time. I'll have a better idea of "VB with young children" after that!

I got it last year Feb/March at 7 months out. Studio.

Hope to get it this year as well. March for 1 week.:goodvibes

I have always found the weather to be beautiful in March in Orlando. Why not Vero? Is there enough to do at Vero? I was thinking of going with my college age daughter for 6 days but maybe we would be better staying at DVC in Disneyworld. We have stayed in Disneyworld the past 12 years so i thought it might be fun to try something new. Do most people fly into Orlando and drive over or is there a closer airport. This would be our first trip women only. DS still has school so DH has to stay home with him:(Thanks

OOH it sounds like fun. Thanks again!!

We too have never been to Vero Beach but hope to go for up to a week over 4th of July next summer. We'll be trying for a 2 bedroom for our group of 7.
