What are my chances of getting the one bedroom next to the studio

We are planning on taking my parents in March of 2005 to OKW. I know sounds like a horror story in the making. But non the less what if we were to all stay in studio for the weekend of Friday and Saturday to save points and then on Sunday move to a two bedroom. What are the chances that the one bedroom attached would be the one we could get to make the two bedroom. I just hate the thought of moving everything on a Sunday. Or Second thought would OKW move our luggage and all for us including groceries from refrig if we were gone when a two bedroom opened up at another villa.

I would say your chances would be slim, but you can always ask. Yes, OKW will move your luggage to the new villa, but you do have to take it down to the Hospitality House at check out. Not sure about the kitchen things, but you probably wont have much in a studio. Would I do what you propose? Probably not! I have always looked at points on a per week basis instead of a per day basis.

You might rent the additional points for the 2 BR, since there seems plenty of OKW points available for rent. We economized on points by simply paying for the weekend nights in cash, a pretty good deal since we got the 25% DVC discount (at 9 months no less); even after 11.5% local tax we ended up $90/ night over rented points (assume $10/pt).

I just hate having to move during vacation. And sharing a studio with my in-laws is just too scary to imagine (and I get along really well with my in-laws).

You might be better off paying cash for a 2 BR for those nights rather than being in a studio. I would think you're chances of staing in the same "room" as a 2 BR if you planned it well, would be 50/50 or so.
