What are my chances of getting my requested view when I book 7 months out at BWV?

Okay, our home resort is BCV, but I want to stay at BWV during Nov-Dec 2003. I realize I will have to book at 7 months out for this. We will be checking in Saturday, Nov. 29 of Thanksgiving weekend-a very busy time I know! The thing is, I was able to talk my husband into BWV by selling him on the view of the Boardwalk. Now, does WHEN you book your reservations have anything to do with if you get your requests or not?? If I use the preferred view points and request Boardwalk/Epcot view will I get that? What else is considered "preferred view"?

Your chances of getting a BW view booking at eleven months are slim, seven months, even slimmer. But we have heard of people booking three days in advance and getting the coveted BW view.

Less than 20% of the rooms have a BW view, many of those are Grand Villas. I would guess that fewer than 10% of non-GV rooms have a BW view.

Prefered is anything except parking lot.

Hi, We own at the BWV, and I just wanted to point out that you might want to book your BCV at 11 months if you really have your heart set on going that week. BWV will be very difficult to get for the first week of Dec. That way, if you can not get the BWV you will have the BCV as a back up. This past yr I read of people not being able to get BWV at 10 months out and having to wait list.

I agree with SCDizneyDawn. Book BCV at 11 months and then try to switch at the 7 month mark. If the pattern of the past 3 years continues, non-BWV owners will probably have to go on the waitlist to get a BWV room for this time. It's JMHO, but I think the first two weeks of December will also be very hard to get at BCV next year for non-BCV owners.

Unless BWV changes the way they assign rooms, your chances of getting a BW view are not very good. Requests are supposedly granted (if available) in the order the reservations were made. Those who made their reservations before you that are also checking in on Saturday will be ahead of you.

The only way to guarantee a BW view is to reserve a Grand Villa. All of the BWV 3 bedroom units have a view of the Boardwalk.

Of course, it is still possible that you will get a BW view. Other preferred view rooms have a view of either Luna Park, the quiet pool & Community Hall or the canal & the Swan/Dolphin Hotels.

Good luck!
