What are my chances for a trade to Hawaii in March?

What are my chances of getting a trade in March (3/22-3/29) through II for the Westing Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas? There was nothing available as of today in March, but it still is a long way out. Would this be a good/fair trade for my DVC points? Thanks!!

There's no way of telling what your chances are - but Hawaii is the hardest II trade to pull off, so if you're flexible about your date ranges and resorts you'd like to stay at it will increase your odds of getting to Hawaii on DVC II trades.

You can put in your request at the 2-year window for II trades. That puts you in a queue in advance of those who request after the 2-year window, which is very much recommended. Most timeshare trades in Hawaii then open up at the 1-year window . . . and DVC states that 50% of requests do go through.

The bad part is that most DVCers get cold feet and pull their trade request before the 5 to 7 month window when trades usually go through. I have talked to a lot of members about this situation with Hawaii - including guides - for those who have pulled II trades successfully or not.
