My son is 5. He's over 42" which has been the ticket to freedom when it comes to most rides.

With regards to waterslides it is dependant on the depth at the end. I just noticed in a photo that the water depth at the foot of the waterslide at SSR is 3'6" or 42". This may be a bit too deep for him.

I would hate to book somewhere (he's particularly crazy about waterslides) and then have him not be able to use it.

Does anyone know heights minimums for the other resorts waterslides?

Thanks

Why not just wear a lifejacket?:confused3
My 6yo went down the BWV scary clown slide a bazillion times...and he's not the strongest swimmer at all. But with a lifejacket...it's all good!:thumbsup2

Any waterslide we've ever been to has had strict height requirements. They have never allowed life jackets. You were either tall enough, or you weren't.

Are life jackets permitted on all the waterslides at Disney?

I don't remember if there were height requirements... probably not. However, I'd say 50% of the kids on the slides I've seen in WDW (BWV, WL, SSR) not only had life jackets... but life guards were encouraging the lifejackets. They're free with resort ID...
