We have done both the character bfast and dinner. With two kids not looking to spend a mint at Nacrosses. What are our options? What did you like? This could be a lunch or dinner time. Just something to get us over there for the Christmas decorations.:goodvibes:santa::santa:

I also recommend the grand floridian cafe if you don't want to do narcoosees or citricos (which I would recommend more) or 1900.

Grand Floridan Cafe (as has already been suggested), though to be fair I haven't eaten here yet, but it gets consistently amazing reviews, and the menus look great.

I would also recommend 1900 Park Faire, Breakfast is amazing for food and character interaction. Diner is really bad food wise, but one of the better character interaction experiences on property. (Cindy's step mom and and sisters, and they are extremely funny.)

Though if you can get a little grown up time - I really think Citraco's is a do not miss.

I have enjoyed 1900 Park Faire esp the chilled strawberry soup...YUM!!!

I would love to try Narcoossee's at some point myself, but am considering adding an ADR to Grand floridian Cafe as there seems to be tons of availability...only that worries me some, that there is soooo much availability...

Don't overlook Gasparilla Grill and Games; it is the GF counter service option. If the weather is nice, I like to get food there and eat at a table by the marina. It's a dining option with one of the best views in the World. My love for their reuben hot dog knows no bounds. It's more of a suicide attempt than a meal, but it's delicious.

GFC is not a signature, not in the parks, and does not have character dining... all of this means that it flys under the radar by the average tourist.

I have found that quite a few of the resort gems are good about having availability - despite being absolutely fantastic dining options.

Ditto for the Turf Club at SSR and Olivia's at OKW. I discovered both of them last year while staying at SSR. Since I stay at POR, I am not missing the opportunity to take the water taxi over to both of them!

the soups are really good there as are the crab cakes (if you want an app). The pasta dish is VERY good, as is the burger (if you don't want the lobster or sauce, you can get it without), my DH got the fish and he said it was very good too.
I love their cheesecake, its a mini version of Citricos cheese cake, which is my favorite on the property.

DH and I both had steaks at the GF cafe and it was an amazing meal! Our waitress was great and we got a wonderful table.

The dessert I had was nice too - a berry pyramid (strawberries, raspberries and blueberries) all fresh with single raspberries and a little mango sauce....yummy!!
