I feel your pain. I had 2 of my children home this week w/sore throats & stomach bugs. Ug. We leave next wed. for WDW so I'm hoping if the rest of us are going to get sick, we get sick NOW!
Hope your children start to feel better real soon.

Last weekend we all got it too! It was violent! My 3 yo DD and DH got it the worst... throwing up several times a day. As soon as we all got better... I sent my DD to preschool ONE DAY. Litterally the next day, she started coughing. Took her to the doctor today and guess what she's got now?? The FLU and STREP at the SAME TIME!! :earseek: I couldn't believe it. She's been so sick this winter, I've considered taking her out of preschool the rest of the year (she only goes 2 days/week).

She's the only who really gets sick... then the rest of the family gets it too, except my 9 yo DS who's got an unbelievable immune system.

Meanwhile, I've felt like I've been cut off from the outside world! I can't go anywhere (cept DR's office)... can't have anyone over... can't do our normal activities at church... I'm going crazy insane!! :jumping4:

YES! hubbie was sick 4 days, just went back to work and we have to go out of town for ice skating competition this weekend to the windy city....hoping for no more sickness!!!!!!!!!!

I feel your pain except in our house it was Chickenpox! One right after the other. We laughed when the first case broke Christmas Eve. Every year we do a Christmas Disney trip- this year did not plan one because we are expecting any day now. It all works in mysterious ways.

My dd 6 got sick on the bus ride home today :guilty: Once I got her in her pjs, she hasn't moved from the couch. I kept hearing about this nasty stomach bug and sure enough .... here it is

I hope everyone gets over this quick!

I am so sorry. Three must be so hard right now. One thing I remember is that when DS was their age and had a horrible virus, I had DH pick up a pack of the largest size pull ups. He was small and they fit fine. He was going through so many pairs of underwear and I could not keep up the washing!! This was a life saver!! If they are too big for the pull ups those good-nites for older kids might work too!!
Prayers for a better tomorrow!!

Well, I ended up having to take the twins to the hospital last night. They would not stop throwing up. They could not keep anything down. The boys were troopers. THey had to get IVs and suppositories. I really think at that point they did not care anymore. They wanted anything that would make them feel better. This thing is a douzy!!! The doc said its really bad this year!!!! Im washing my hands like a mad woman trying not to catch this thing. STAY HEALTHY EVERYONE!!

it's been going around my office, only seems to last a day though. i've avoided it so far and was hoping to get it this weekend, rather stay in on a snowy weekend than miss a day of work (and subsequently, a day's worth of pay!)

YES! DH and our 2 DD"s had influenza over Xmas/New Year's.... then once that was done, the GI bug hit..... I hate winter!!!!

We had it right after Christmas. The first child got it 8 hrs into a 10 hr road trip. One second she said her tummy hurt then she started throwing up. Pulled over cleaned her up she said she was fine. An hour later she said she was sick and threw up just as we pulled into the gas station. It took half an hour to clean her and the car up this time. It was freezing. Just as we all loaded back into the car for the last hour home, I looked in my rearview mirror in time to see the baby throwing up. It was already 11 pm. I thought I would scream!

We made it home before the rest of us experienced the symptoms. It only lasted a day but it was miserable!

We leave on Friday for WDW and I am isolating my kids until we are on the plane! W do year round school so they are off until February 15. I sat them both down today and said I knew that a lot of their friends might want to get together this week but that I thought we shouldn't. There is so much going around right now in our area I just don't want to risk it! They will still have a week off when we return, they can play with friends then. As long as DH doesn't pick anything up at work we should be fine! To all you parents with sick little ones, hang in there, this too shall pass!
