Hi all,
I'm new to this whole Universal planning thing so please bear with me?

DBF and I are taking some time off from Disney and spending a week in Orlando this September. Maybe it's the planning crazy Disney woman in me...but I can't help but feel like we've missed something to get everythign in place!!!! Here's what we've got so far:

Bought a package through Universal with plane tickets, a stay at Hard Rock Hotel, mears shuttle to and from the airport, three broomsticks breakfast and early entry into wwohp, and flex plus tickets

Most of our eating will be a spur of the moment type of deal, but we want to eat at Mama Della's and Mythos...do I need reservations for these two for September?

From what I understand, our package includes free transportation to/from Sea world and Busch Gardens via shuttle bus. How do I set this up ahead of time, or do I need to wait and speak with guest services at the hotel when we get there?

We will also be buying Blue Man Group tickets at some point, for one evening of our stay.

That's about all we have....so tell me, am I missing anything???

TIA for all of your help!!!:thumbsup2

Mythos accepts ressies and you can book it thru Opentable.com
I would book that one since it is popular, though I am not sure how bad it will be in Sept

anyone that stays on site at one of the three hotels, receives free shuttle/bus transporation to Sea World, Aquatica and Wet and Wild.

for busch, the fee used to be $10 per person rt in a luxury motor coach.
not sure what the fee is for this year.

forgot to answer your question........oops

you sign up for the shuttle the night before at the lobby in the hotel.

if you want to sign up sooner, you can once you are signed in as a guest.

when the bus is full, no more allowed on it for that time period.

As for the parks, I think that you might be expecting to have to do more because of the work involved in planning WDW trips. Universal is much easier and in some ways truly a vacation. Front of the line will assure you easy park touring with only a few exceptions. You might have to plan a bit to see WWoHP and ride Rip Ride Rockit but that will be about it.

I agree that I would maybe make a reservation for Mythos but otherwise...

We were there in September last year and ate lunch at Mythos twice without reservations. We did have a bit of a wait, but other than the Saturday it was a very nice and quiet time to be in the parks!

Then again, there's never any harm in reserving.

And remember your room key gives you priority seating at Mythos. It cut our wait time during spring break from 30 min to 15 min.

Thank you so much for all of the answers everyone!!!

I think you are right, Planogirl. I am such an obsessive planner for WDW, it feels like I have not done enough for Universal :rotfl2: I have to admit, I am looking forward to being able to do everything at a leisurely pace, and not have to be rushing to be at two reserved meals every day, and the fact that the parks are not open that late while we'll be there is a blessing in disguise, as it will make us take a lot more time to just relax.

Does Mama Della's not need reservations at all? I thought it was a very popular restaraunt :confused3

It looks as if you have it all covered. Enjoy your visit.

Mac, is this something you can ask for in the lobby at the information desk? Do you know the hours it leaves and returns? We might add BG if its that cheap. No sense to drive our car.:thumbsup2

check with the concierge desk in the lobby for the details.

(i believe bonny and lee did the bus to busch one year.)

this is something i am going to try to do during my week stay at universal in the fall.
i figure i have not been to BG in many years and would love to go and not have to drive it.
