what am I doing wrong?

I just discovered VMK last night. Made a character, bought a camera and started the Hidden Mickey quest. I've since found what I thought were hidden mickeys, but none register when I go to VMK Central and click on the Hidden Mickey sign. Only one photo shows the hidden mickey head I see in white, but I'm not credited for it in the quest. Why? What am I doing wrong?

Hmm - that is strange. Did you take a picture of the Mickey in VMK Central? If not, in the upper left hand corner take a picture it is located there. When you take the picture, the first picture of a hidden mickey, you receive a reward and a shirt? Did you receive that?

Hi Jean! Welcome to VMK!! Woot! Are you sure you are taking pictures of the real Hidden Mickeys?? Sounds like a dumb question, but I went around at first taking pictures (and wasting film) of what I THOUGHT were Hidden Mickeys!! LOL!

I'll gladly meet you in VMK and point out a couple of them to you. Once you know exactly what to look for, you won't waste as much film! Let me know! I can be on any time tonight!

I took a picture of the balloons on the roof on Main Street, and received the reward and tshirt for it. I missed the one in VMK Central.

Since my first post above I have gone to the vmkguide and found a list of hidden mickeys. I went to two, took pictures in the right spots and got credit for them. Not sure I'd find them on my own though, since I could actually see any hidden mickey when I was taking the picture! I did find my way into a couple of monorail stations while looking so that was fun.

Love the sounds, almost like being in WDW sometimes.

Nope, not sure at all. Although in one shot it actually highlighted the Mickey in white, but still didn't give me credit. Weird. Just read in vmkguide that if the mickey is too far to the edge in the picture it sometimes doesn't credit it...

I'd love if you could show me what to look for! Currently I am Guest2377277. How will I know you are you?

I am PinkGirlygirl on VMK and currently right now I am just standing at the Jungle Cruise Dock (South East South). If you click the box in the bottom right hand corner of the map, you can then pick the "room instance" that you want to go to. Select Jungle Cruise Game, then select South East South. You will see me standing there on the dock...

I can vouch that Disvaclub was Hidden Mickey Helper for me.
There were a few that I would NOT have found on my own.

The Hidden Mickey Quest can be tricky. I had been on VMK about two weeks before doing it. Many of the Mickey's you cannot see - even if you know where you are looking. They are NOT like three plates arranged on a table to form a mickey head, as I originally thought they were.

Also, I did have a few hidden mickeys that I had to photograph twice before they registered in my log.

Remember, the idea is to get you to explore the areas of the game and have fun - while winning cool stuff too. Enjoy!

Yes, the Hidden Mickey's are located in the Guide, but they are hidden - just in case people did not want a spoiler. I do not think you can print it out, but you would want to take your mouse slightly over the hidden text and copy/paste to word.
