What Am I Doing Wrong? Kids 3 Hopper Isn't Free On DL Website?

Hi - I previously asked the question about buying an adult 3 day hopper, and you receive the childs 3 day hopper free. A member was kind enough to post the info for getawaytravel's website. On there, you get that special offer and are mailed vouchers for the tix (which you would pick up at the DL window). Then I read that Disney Travel Company also offers the same deal, but will mail you actual tickets (which I prefer). But when I go through the whole process on Dinseyland.com, I'm still being charged for the kid's hopper pass at chechout (in the "total" box). What am I doing wrong? Should I stick with the Getawaytravel website and just deal with the vouchers? Thanks again

You need to call Disney travel and order them. They will sell them to you, just not through the site unless it is part of a package.

Other people on the boards have said they were able to get them online from Disney without a problem.

I was having difficulty as well, but I decided to go with Getawaytoday instead since they would save me around $50 for my 3 night package going with their hotel; saving me over $120 with the hotel I was originally going to book.

To get the free child tickets, you must book a package. If you are buying tickets only, you can get the adult for the child price or an advanced discount of $20, but not the free child tickets.

From Disneyland.com
Be a part of the Disney magic and take advantage of two great offers*. For each two night or longer Disneyland® Resort adult vacation package you purchase for travel between 1/3/06 - 4/27/06, you receive one regular priced kids' 3-Day Park Hopper® Bonus Ticket - Free!*

Plus, if your vacation plans call for air travel arrangements, for each accompanying adult, one child flies free*! Make your reservations by 4/4/06 and come be a part of the Disneyland® 50th Anniversary Celebration!

But this thread has people claiming to have gotten the children's free tickets (no package) from Disney themselves: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1044055

You can see why some people (myself included) would be confused. :)

Goto disneyland.com and click on the Tickets & Reservations tab. You can start entering you travel information there to get an online quote/book your reservation.

This is why people are believing they should be able to order the Kids Play Free tickets from the Disney website. (This is directly from the thread I just posted the link to.)

If you need to call Disney Travel to get the tickets, that's fine but there is some incorrect information (that they are only valid for packages) and confusion (that you CAN get them from Disneyland's website, but many people are having trouble with this).

Here's another thread from last week about the same thing: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1029778

Just trying to clarify and bring all of the information into one thread to help alleviate the confusion. :)

I called disney travel last week and got one adult ticket with one child's ticket free. It wasn't a problem when I called and they even suggested it.
