Hi Guys:yay:

We are going to Disneyland and it's our first trip we travel on the 28th of December. We've been to florida several times and found these boards invaluable so I'm hope some one can help me . Where is the best place to spend New Years Eve? and What ADR's do I need to make and where are the Best caracter Meals thank you so much in advance.

Our favorite character meal is Storyteller's at the Grand CA Hotel! That one is only breakfast, but there is also Lilo and Stitch at Paradise Pier (B), Goofy's Kitchen at DL Hotel (B,L,D), Plaza Inn at DL (B), and Ariel's Grotto at DCA which now serves all 3 meals character!

Then the ADR's are Carnation Cafe at DL (which is one of my faves!), Blue Bayou, and Cafe Orleans. At DCA, it's Vineyard Room and Wine COuntry Trattoria. Then there are a few at the hotels also, and a handful in DTD!!

Forgot to add, if you are spending New Year's Eve in DL, do not leave because it will most likely close to capactiy in the afternoon and then you may not be able to get back in!!

Thanks Andrea so am I right in thinking DL is the best park to be in on New years eve?

Yep, they have great fireworks that night!!

You can make ADRs 60 days in advance by calling 714-781-DINE.

Everyone has a differing opinion on the best character meal, but Goofy's seems to be a favorite, and we enjoyed our character breakfast there. But Storytellers, Minnie's, and Lilo & Stitch all get good reviews. If you have little girls, you may want to schedule a Princess character meal at California Adventure.

For New Years Eve, whatever you do, if you want to be in one of the parks to ring in the New Year, get there early and STAY there! Don't leave for any reason! Don't even think about park hopping or going back to your room for a break. If you leave for any reason, you won't be able to get back in because there's about a 100 percent chance that the parks will be at capacity. Make sure you make your ADRs at exactly 60 days out. Of course the Blue Bayou is very popular at Disneyland, a bit expensive but great atmosphere. If you'd like to celebrate the New Year with adult libations;) , plan on going to California Adventure for the day and night, and I'd recommend making ADRs at the Vineyard Room.

Here's a link to the various restaurants and menus.

I've been to DL a couple of times on New Years and it is insane. Fun.......but insane. They give out hats and noise makers to everyone!!!! Please heed the warning about not leaving the park. Last year DL closed at 2:00am.

As far as DCA................. I don't know what they do. Maybe they give out stuff too?? It shows that last year they closed at 1:00am.

Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:dance3:
