When I chose "other", I was think of park passes. I did think of something else that I wouldn't mind one bit...reasonalbe prices at the gift shops at the resort for food items.

I voted for the "fast pass" option...just because...well, I AM a kid, and that sounds pretty cool!!!

But, I REALLY like the idea of annual passes...I mean...if we have the "deed" to a property....aren't we (in a way)...at least, part-time Florida residents...eligible for the discounts for the "part-time" we are there? I LOVE justification!!!

My vote is to have discounts for passes and dining the same as for Florida residents.:D

To be treated the same as Florida residents for the purpose of Themepark ticket discounts.

Most of the other options would be a cost item (ie extra transport) that someone (ie the members via dues) would have to pay for. I think there has been regularly a pretty good case that a better discount on theme park tickets could actually raise revenue for Disney, in effect it would be a win win situation for Disney and the members, IMHO the losers would be Anhauser Busch and Universal on themepark admissions and the local (non Disney) restaurants and shops on food, beverage and goods sales.

I voted other too. I think the best benefit would be a discount on annual passes like many others have said.

Have to agree with the discounts on APs. We do pay those taxes, so it would be nice to have a discount. Would also like to see more of a discount at more restaurants. But, AP discount would be tops for me!! They are my next largest expense each year also, after airfare.

Cant imagine voting for an AP discount over FOTL as a member (both would be nice). Just our opionion but whats $30 over a year compared to FOTL every day in the parks. If they offered a regular season pass (10% off for DVC members) and a FOTL season pass for DVC members (10% more for DVC members-total of 20% more) we would buy the FOTL pass for sure.

This was a tough choice.

I would love to see pass discounts. I have never gotten an AP, but might with a discount. We always buy PHP. I have tickets from 2 different trips to use for our upcoming trip. We only go to the parks about half the days we are there.

I voted for more restaurant discounts. The wonderful food at WDw is one of our favorite parts of each vacation. There is really no reason we can't have discounts at more of the top rrestaurants. With so many folks paying full price, we wouldn't take away much at all. We would then be going to the nicest places more often and can spread the word to friends.

I voted for Dining discounts, but I'd also really really be happy with discounts on passes.

I really think that dvc should offer there members a better discount on the park passes. I think that with the dedication and the committment we have made to disney by purchasing into dvc they could show us there appreciation by giving us a substantial discount on all types of park passes they offer. i believe one of the biggest expenses that you have when going to disney is the park passes and by giving a more substantial discount to members you will see increased using by it's members and would be one heck of a selling point when trying to bring new members on.

I voted OTHER because the ONLY perk I would really care about having is a special disounted Annual Pass! They could take away ALL the other perks we have now, if they would just give me that!

Although it won't happen, I would like them to bring back the free park passes for DVC members.

Let's face it. We are the people that come to WDW just about every year, if not every other year. I think they more than make their money back with all of the dollars the DVC folks spend. :yo-yo:

Although I like the idea of FOTL passes just for DVC, realistically this would be a nightmare for Disney to try to do. Can you imagine the outrage from AP, PAP, deluxe resort guests etc ? If Disney ever implements FOTL passes (and I seriously doubt they will since they have not in yrs despite the pressure of competition from Universal); But if Disney ever did have FOTL passes it would have to be extended to more than just DVC members.
What I would love to see happen is all existing discounts that exclude DVC members be offered to DVC members. For example all FL resident discounts like APs, Disney Dining Card, etc and all AP discounts on rooms etc., should also include DVC members. This is something that would cost Disney ziltch to implement and it is a justifiable perk for DVC members, to say nothing of a BIG PR/Customer Service gesture on Disney's part.
I am not saying this because I have anything at all to gain from this or have the "entitlement" mentality. I already qualify for just about every WDW discount to be had. I own a home in FL so I qualify for all FL resident discounts, we are AP holders, Disney Dining Card holders, Disney Visa card holders, DVC members and were members; and I was also the Director,at my place of employment, of the now defunct Magic Kingdom/Disney Club card.
DVC members are among those that are very much repeat customers and a very big potential market for increased spending at parks, restaurants etc. The elimination of DVC members for virtually almost all offered discounts is a foolish mistake on Disney's part. It is also not a very good PR decision with regards to DVC members who represent possible future DVC add ons and referrals.

I will show my "newness" here, but what is FOTL?

Front Of The Line which is a Universal Studios product. I don't know anything about it, since we never do Universal.

1) I voted "other".
2) I simply do not believe that we are due discounts.

3) We bought a timeshare.
4) It is an expensive timeshare, but just a timeshare.
5) I see no reason for discounts others are not entitled to.

Rusty Scupper I have to disagree with you. We did not buy a timeshare. We bought a deed to ownership. Disney is not a timeshare. Timeshare means you bought a "time". This is not the case with Disney. If as an"owner" you dont receive any perks what would be the reason to want to own?
