Has anyone done the Sunday Gospel Brunch at House of Blues?
I am also very interested in brunch at the California Grill? There will be 4 of us...all adults now. My DH and I and our kids 18 and 23. I know they will be completely different experiences. I am basically just looking for reviews...food, ambiance, experience and would you recommend it? For whatever it is worth we are not doing the dining plan.

Thanks so much everyone! :disrocks:

Pretty much every review I’ve seen about brunch at the California Grill has been extremely positive. I believe Josh at easywdw has done a review of it, and I recall a couple reviews from posters on here about it. It’s not something I’ve been able to do yet, but it’s high on my list.

The only brunch I've done so far has been Raglan Road and we really enjoyed that. We were seated out on the patio, where they had a musician playing, and the food was excellent.

We're trying California Grill's brunch on our March trip so I've been reading all the reviews I can find. We love love love dinner there, especially the sushi, so I'm pretty sure it will be a hit. Here's one set of DIS reviews that are particularly encouraging: https://www.disboards.com/threads/b...-12-11-16-on-p-6.3515731/page-9#post-58395052 EasyWDW and Disney Food Blog have also done reviews with lots of very yummy looking pictures if you want to go looking for those.

We did California Grill Brunch and STK Brunch last trip, I thought STK was superior in quality of food and value. Other members of the party disagreed. I think $80/pp is steep for brunch even with unlimited "mimosas" which were so just Cupcake Prosecco and Orange Juice. They were well poured at California Grill but just meh.

I preferred the Frose at STK Brunch more than the California Grill Mimosas even having to have paid for the Frose. I thought STKs brunch choices were also better executed and were more "fun" the cinnamon sugar monkey bread with cream cheese icing which is brunch only was great as was the bacon appetizer which is now Brunch only and replaced by ribs using the same sauce at Dinner. STKs atmosphere wasn't bad either it was a slightly breezy sunny day and they had the windows open and the music was far lower volume than Dinner.

We're chose to go to STK for Brunch again this upcoming trip, California Grill brunch didn't make the short list but it did for Dinner, twice.

Thanks everyone for your input! I agree, the price for CG brunch is very steep.
My mother would have a hissy fit if she knew we might be spending over $300 on a meal. When I say that out loud, I am not sure I can bring myself to do it!
Thanks again!

We did our brunch at The Wave. We mostly chose this because we enjoy a refillable mimosa option (hey, we're from New York) and also because the three of us fall all over the map when it comes to breakfast preferences, so the buffet appealed to us. We really enjoyed it and will almost certainly be back! They also have menu items there but we thought the buffet was the way to go, since you can sample basically everything on the menu via the buffet. This all depends on if you actually want to have to get up from the table during the brunch, of course!
