Disney Wonder
4-Night Cruise
May 13-May 17

Hi there everyone! :goodvibes

I'm FINALLY back with another Trippie and this is my first TR on the DCL Board! :yay: My husband and I went on our first Disney Cruise to celebrate my birthday. It was amazing! I am now hooked and can't wait to book another cruise!

Let's let the fun begin!!!

May 13
Boarding Time

We are lucky enough to live in Orlando, so we were off to Port Canaveral at 11:00am for our vacation to begin! I couldn't believe it only took us a hour to get to the port! It can't get much better than that, well, except for our car getting completely covered in squashed love bugs. :scared:

I was in awe once I saw the ship, I couldn't believe how large it was and I couldn't wait to get on board to go exploring!

We were so impressed with how quick the check-in process was, I thought we'd have to wait for a hour or longer before we could board. Our room would be ready at 1:00pm, so we just had about a hour to wait before we could see where we would be staying for the next 4 nights.

n25002324_32212240_5674.jpg

I was so looking forward to our name being announced when we entered the ship and it was such a special moment with the crew clapping for us in such a warm welcome! :goodvibes I couldn't wait to see all the other magic in store for us!

Our first stop was lunch at the Beach Blanket Buffet!

n25002324_32212243_6870.jpg

We got a wonderful table by the window and I couldn't wait to being the many meals of our cruise. I had heard such amazing things about the food and I quickly found out it's all true! The vegetarian sandwiches were fantastic! I quickly gave a call to my Mom, since it was Mother's Day. It would be the last time I could make a call before we left port, so it had to be to her. ;)

n25002324_32212244_7117.jpg

We enjoyed lunch and then it was time for us to make our way to our room on the 6th floor. We opened the door and I saw the room decorated all for my birthday, which is May 15. My family had surprised me with our entire room decked out in birthday surprises. It was so sweet and such a great way to start off our cruise! I knew I was going to have a fantastic 24th birthday! Is there any better way to celebrate!? :goodvibes

The birthday cake was amazing looking and I loved the chocolate ship on top! I quickly ate the strawberries.

n25002324_32212247_8009.jpg

We were so impressed with our room! It was much larger than we expected to be. It even had a "Pirates of the Caribbean" theme and I was thrilled! Once, we left the cruise ship on May 17, we were actually flying out to go to Disneyland for the "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" World Premiere on May 19! :woohoo: Don't worry, I will be writing my Disneyland Trippie as well! ;)

My first job was to decorate our stateroom door. It had to be "DIS'ed" out!

Before we could really settle in when had to do our mandatory emergency drill and our area had to all gather in the Animator's Palate Restaurant. It was pretty quick and painless.

It was time for us all to gather for the Sail Away Party and I could not wait!
We were quickly introduced to our amazing crew, who would be entertaining us for our entire cruise! What a great group of people!

n25002324_32212263_2000.jpg

Of course, the real stars of the cruise had to arrive to really get this party going!

I never knew Goofy had so many dancing skills! He had the greatest moves and it was so hilarious to see! :goodvibes

n25002324_32212273_4550.jpg

We were then introduced to Brent, who is the sweetest guy ever! We came to know him and his voice quite well as it echoed in our stateroom a few times a day.

n25002324_32212274_4822.jpg

Brent got us all warmed up and ready for the countdown to set sail!

First Dinner- Parrot Cay: Island Dinner

We had requested the second dinner seating and got the last seating for the night at 8:30pm, which is a lot later than we usually eat, but it seemed to work out quite will. The first night our dinner was a Parrot Cay, which worked out great because I had bought these cute Disney tropical outfits for DH & I to wear and I wanted to wear them on the first night!

After the Sail Away Party, we did some quick exploring on the ship and went back for some quick rest in our lovely stateroom. Our luggage was delivered to our room pretty quickly and I was able to unpack almost all of our bags before it was time for us to get ready for dinner!

I had noticed on our Personal Navigator that Captain Jack Sparrow would be hanging around before our dinner, so you know what we had to go do first! ;)

n25002324_32214749_3778.jpg

We then saw that Mickey & Minnie had arrived! They looked adorable!

n25002324_32214780_2621.jpg

It was time for our dinner at Parrot Cay and we were quickly led to our table in the back left of the restaurant. We were at a table that could hold 7 people, so I was very interested to see who our tablemates would be.

n25002324_32214782_7113.jpg

We lucked out and got with some great tablemates, two were sisters and then we were with a lovely couple! They were great! I couldn't have asked for better tablemates for our first cruise. :goodvibes We were the young ones of the bunch, but that even made it more fun for us and they filled us in on all the DCL info, since they had cruised many times before with Disney!

We were also introduced to our server, Hannelie, and she was very sweet! Our meal was fantastic! My favorite item was the cold Mango soup and DH was hooked on the chicken wings! It was then time for dessert! I saw our server and head server coming towards our table with a cake. It was for me! Then, everyone began to sing "Happy Birthday" to me! I was presented with the beautiful cake a DCL button that said, "It's my Birthday!" My birthday was two days away, so I had planned on wearing it for the rest of the cruise! ;)

n25002324_32214784_7627.jpg

The cake was strawberry and very yummy! DH & I decided to bring it back to our room, so we could eat on it for the rest of the cruise. We did have the other large birthday cake waiting for us in our stateroom too!

n25002324_32214783_7384.jpg

We returned back to our room to call it a night because we'd have to get up pretty early in the morning and we needed our rest. We walked in and saw that our bed had been turned down for us. We had a lovely swan towel animal waiting for us and some chocolates. What a WONDERful beginning to our cruise!
