Disney Wonder
4-Night Cruise
May 13-May 17
Hi there everyone!
I'm FINALLY back with another Trippie and this is my first TR on the DCL Board!
My husband and I went on our first Disney Cruise to celebrate my birthday. It was amazing! I am now hooked and can't wait to book another cruise!
Let's let the fun begin!!!
May 13
Boarding Time
We are lucky enough to live in Orlando, so we were off to Port Canaveral at 11:00am for our vacation to begin! I couldn't believe it only took us a hour to get to the port! It can't get much better than that, well, except for our car getting completely covered in squashed love bugs.
I was in awe once I saw the ship, I couldn't believe how large it was and I couldn't wait to get on board to go exploring!
We were so impressed with how quick the check-in process was, I thought we'd have to wait for a hour or longer before we could board. Our room would be ready at 1:00pm, so we just had about a hour to wait before we could see where we would be staying for the next 4 nights.
I was so looking forward to our name being announced when we entered the ship and it was such a special moment with the crew clapping for us in such a warm welcome!
I couldn't wait to see all the other magic in store for us!
Our first stop was lunch at the Beach Blanket Buffet!
We got a wonderful table by the window and I couldn't wait to being the many meals of our cruise. I had heard such amazing things about the food and I quickly found out it's all true! The vegetarian sandwiches were fantastic! I quickly gave a call to my Mom, since it was Mother's Day. It would be the last time I could make a call before we left port, so it had to be to her.
We enjoyed lunch and then it was time for us to make our way to our room on the 6th floor. We opened the door and I saw the room decorated all for my birthday, which is May 15. My family had surprised me with our entire room decked out in birthday surprises.
It was so sweet and such a great way to start off our cruise! I knew I was going to have a fantastic 24th birthday! Is there any better way to celebrate!?
The birthday cake was amazing looking and I loved the chocolate ship on top! I quickly ate the strawberries.
We were so impressed with our room! It was much larger than we expected to be. It even had a "Pirates of the Caribbean" theme and I was thrilled! Once, we left the cruise ship on May 17, we were actually flying out to go to Disneyland for the "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" World Premiere on May 19!
Don't worry, I will be writing my Disneyland Trippie as well!

My first job was to decorate our stateroom door. It had to be "DIS'ed" out!
Before we could really settle in when had to do our mandatory emergency drill and our area had to all gather in the Animator's Palate Restaurant. It was pretty quick and painless.
