What a sad thought: taking Disney World family pictures with masks on.

I always love taking family pictures on our trips to Disney World. I just can't see doing pictures with masks on.

You can photoshop their faces into the picture. :)
Or wait with your visit till the situation eases.

Well, with all the other changes and reductions going on, I think photos with a mask will be low on my list of concerns - but I do know what you're saying! If all goes well, and people wear them and adhere to early opening requirements, maybe we'll finally get to the point where the impact of the virus continues to go down, and we can do away with the masks altogether in a few months! That would be awesome.

If you take pictures away from other guests, you might be able to momentarily remove the masks, take the picture and then put them back on. You'll just need to be a bit creative on where you take those pictures.

One person could take everybody else's picture while they are in the Pool.

I’m hoping there will be relaxation zones in front of the castle and other key photo areas where you can take your masks off. If there are no PhotoPass options without masks then I plan to cancel my memory maker. No doubt Disney has thought of this. Also I did buy a mini tripod for my iPhone and plan to do some maskless family photos as a family by the plaza tables or something while eating.

I know it might sound vain, but for me pictures are such a big part of a vacation (and the only thing that stays aside from your memories) that if we can’t take the mask off for photos, it would be a dealbreaker for me
Hopefully the restrictions will lift in the next few months!

I actually like the idea of documenting this time ~ it will be a moment in history.
That's an interesting point. How many people refused to take pictures with the pink, birthday cake castle?!! This is another temporary moment in time. And we'll look back at photos and know it was 2020, won't we?

I fully expect my Kawaii-loving teen will embrace the look and hold up a peace sign in pictures. A friend of mine posted something on FB about this is the time for the girls with the pretty eyes to rock it. That made me chuckle. You work with what you've got- buy cute masks and smize.

I already told my husband we are taking our family pictures in our room this year, so we need a pool or castle view! 😂 We will make the best out of it!

If we end up taking our trip, I’m thinking we might opt of purchasing the photo pass. It does feel expensive for photos with masks on.

I think it's a great way to document the times. You will always look back and remember the year and how it couldn't keep you from your happy place. :earsgirl:

Well families in Tokyo, Shanghai and Hong Kong Disney parks have been doing this for nearly 20 years. It is what it is, just accept it and deal with it.
Can we just STOP with the whole "well Asia does it" line now?? WE AREN'T THE SAME AND HAVEN'T BEEN RAISED IN THE SAME CULTURE. Can't believe this has to be pointed out. Same for medical personnel who are used to wearing masks (in AC) as part of their job (and who never admit that it took an adjustment period for them too)
If you look at pictures from the Asian parks families normally take their masks off in pictures.... so....
Yeah-and if you look at recent vids from Shanghai Disney you will see-*GASP - that the mask requirement isn't being followed by 100% of guests now either...and as international travel is severely restricted/non-existent it isn't the tourists not following the mask rules...

I lived in Japan for four years, so that might have something to do with it, but I'm really not bothered by the masks in the pictures. My husband and I are actually looking forward to them and being silly, and we'll never have to wonder which trip they were on! Unique trip, unique pics! But to each their own priorities. 🤷‍♀️
