I was thinking of upgrading our seats for our BI cruise--so when I went into the resveration it said to check back later as there were some changes
I thought great now what
but they only changed the time we leave by 5 minutes
glad its nothing more

Yep. It’s always momentarily nerve-wracking to see that email saying “There’s been a change to your flight”, then when you read the email it’s like you are now departing at 11:47 AM instead of 11:53 AM.

My heart sank when I got the dreaded "your itinerary has been changed" e-mail from SWA for our outbound trip in October. I knew that getting a flight from GR to MCO that was scheduled to land before 3pm was too good to be true. Our flight is scheduled to depart at 7:55am (first one of the day) and land at 12:55pm with a connection in MDW. I opened the e-mail, expecting to see that we would now have a 4-hour layover at MDW and arrive after 3pm, but nope! They were just letting me know that my flight number had changed:yay:.

Our last change for our homebound flight to europe was leaving Orlando 4 hours earlier and have an 7 hour layover in Boston. Was able to switch it to leaving Orlando 2 Hours later with a 90 minutes layover in Detroit. But it was a hassle and multiple phone calls.

Our last change has us arriving at LAX an hour later. Which means we miss our original flight to Hawaii that is supposed to get us there about 2 PM. Now, we have a four hour layover, and we won't get to Hawaii until 6 PM.

Does anyone know of a good restaurant or other place where we can kill four hours in LAX? We are flying Delta.

Can you change the first part of your itinerary to keep your same flight LAX-HI? Or change to a different layover point to stay closer to your original arrival time. With any changes like this Delta will usually put you on just about any itinerary you want if you call them with what you are looking for? Even if it means changing layover point or going from a connection to a nonstop. Where are you flying out of?

Cincinnati (CVG). I can look into it. It's not until next January.

I would look into other routes that might work with your schedule better. From CVG, I know a few people that went last year that travelled CVG-MSP-HNL. You'd also have reasonable connections at SLC and possible SEA, you could backtrack a little through DTW or a ways through ATL.

I agree with the PP to call and try to change your flight. The traffic around LAX can be terrible, I probably wouldn’t mess with leaving the airport for a 4-hour layover

Buy access to one of the lounges.

Oh, we won’t leave the airport.

I’ll probably look for another flight, but we still have seven months. Should have known Delta would change our flights around.
