You seem to misunderstand.I’m surprised the drivers don’t have them. With a lyft or Uber the vehicle is registered as a regular passenger vehicle, not a taxi. This means that seatbelt and car seat laws apply to that vehicle. The driver is responsible to make certain any children are in the proper safety/booster seat, and or seatbelt. He will get the ticket if they are not.
You think the drivers take the kids without car seats.
The opposite is true. They don't take kids that should be in seats without them. Or aren't supposed to. Just like a parent in their own car, if they are stupid enough to put a kid in the car without a seat, it's on them. What's the saying, you can't fix stupid, or in this case, legislate it
