We checked in on Saturday around 11am, and have been having a wonderful time! The resort is as good as everyone says it is. It has been very busy, hard to find chairs, but that's what we were expecting from reading up on the resort. Fast forward to today......the place is empty!! Talking to one of the cast members, many check outs yesterday. The resort went from over 90% capacity to about 50%! We're going to enjoy the rest of our time here!!

I know! What a difference! We were going to do some touring today but decided to do it Thursday before our late flight. I am glad we did since it was nice to enjoy the resort today crowd free.

Oh this is encouraging! We'll be there on the 13th for a week and were hoping that since school would have started the crowds would be smaller!

Can't wait!

We arrived Tues the Aug 26th and left Sat. The first few days were great, but we noticed that by Friday it was feeling VERY busy and that Sat was packed. We were glad to be leaving that day knowing the resort was at capacity for the weekend. Even getting our car on Sat was a pain. Hope you have a great rest of your trip. One tip: We waited until our last day to check out paradise cove. Make sure to go there with bathing suits and snorkeling gear as you can snorkel with the turtles. To get there walk on the path along the road down to the parking lot just past the Marriott and look for the path down to the beach! Worth a few hours of your day! The turtles were just hanging out swimming and people were swimming right along with them. Very cool! Nice little cove to hang out in!

Oh wow this is great to know. So seems like weekdays and sundays are pretty low key!

Ohhh-thanks for this! Wonderful info...

Saturday and Sunday are both busier than the weekdays.

Glad to hear you practically have the resort to yourself OP.

Alot of locals tend to visit on the weekend also noticed people from California were there on weekends making it more crowded

We got home early this morning after are amazing week at Aulani! My youngest cried when we left.

Yesterday around noon, my youngest and I went in the lazy river one last time and there was literally no one with us the whole time. The only tubes that floated by were empty. The cast member who was one of the life guards there told me that there was less than 50% occupancy. Afterwards, I went down the tube slide and there was only one person ahead of us. The last 3 days of our trip were heavenly crowd wise.

Still here, and crowds still down. We will see what the weekend brings. They are setting up for Hawaii food and wine festival on the beach. Hoping that won't affect the resort too much. DH and I were able to use the slides yesterday as much as we wanted, never more then three people ahead of us! This was around 11am and DH again from 7-8pm.

Great time presumably to travel after the kids are back to school! Pretty much the same at most popular destinations! Enjoy the rest of your trip!
