What’s the best method to having two people buying lightning lane for the trip

Me and my husband will be buying the lightning lane for the whole trip. Should I buy for the first half and he buy the second half? Or should I buy day one and he buy day two and alternate that way? I want to maximize being able to get the rides. Also does the system know if we have dining booked and not show times during the window and if so how much time is blocked off?

Wouldn’t you both need the passes to both ride? If you get one and he doesn’t, doesn’t that mean he would ride in regular standby?

I mean when the 7 day window opens for our trip. Will be booking for 5 people each day and splitting the days up so we can do it at the same time at 7am

I would recommend booking from start to end of your trip so you day 1, him day 2, you day 3….

Yes. MDE knows your ADRs and offers times around those.

I would have a plan, book the attractions you want quickly and move on to another day. Go back if after all booked and modify as you wish.

It’s also recommended you have 2 or 3 payment methods available in case one starts to act up which has been known to happen occasionally as you’re booking.

I agree with @scrappinginontario, and, additionally, be very careful while booking that you are including all 5 people. I mention this since my sister and I split up the LLs this way and she didn't realize that she'd booked one of the days for just herself.
