What’s for Dinner Tonight?

DH had surgery today. One night in the hospital, so I am on my own.
Staying in a hotel, up early....3:30, so too tired and hot to find a place to go eat.
I had a couple pretzel bites, an apple and son granola chunks

It was a very long day spent solving numerous major problems with Amazon, UPS and Comcast (Xfinity). All involved overseas help desks. "Nuff" said.

Embarrassed to say: Frozen Jalapeno White Castles for both me and DH.
DH was thrilled. He grew up on real White Castles and even loves frozen in a pinch.

(We honestly do eat healthy most of the time and are in good shape).

First nip in the air today, so I think I'll make cream chipped beef on toast.

I have never made or eaten that as a adult (I'm old) yet I loved it as a kid when my mother made.

Postscript: The other day I decided to make Smash Burgers at home. They turned out 100% great and my kitchen wall, stove top, counter, everything, turned out a100% disaster with grease.

Next time, going to 'Smashburgers'.

Tonight is breakfast for dinner. DH is making a breakfast sandwich for himself (bacon, hash brown, cheese, and a little egg on a bagel). I'm having a scrambled egg, sausage, and maybe toast.

So weird you said Spiedie. Last night my daughter was at her friends for dinner. They had Speidie chicken sandwiches and was raving about the dinner. We all live in the Midwest and never heard that term before. Even my autocorrect keeps trying to change the word!! oh but

We spent most of the day cleaning and decluttering to get ready to start some remodeling. On the plus side I donated 3 car full of stuff (we have one more I’ll bring tomorrow), organized our electronics to be recycled, and put a ton of bulky stuff on the curb with a free sign (it’s all gone!). So we ended up grabbing a late lunch. We split some fried cheese curds and I had a capris sandwich with pesto, it was delicious! We just had an ear of corn for a snack.

Went to the dine-in theater tonight. Buttered popcorn to share. Chicken tenders for me. Impossible burger for DH and Chicken Caesar wrap for DS. He graced us with his presence on a Saturday night which made our jaws drop.

Marinated london broil and oven roasted potatoes on the menu for tonight.

Headed home today, so something out if the freezer.
DH can pick when we get home. He has a very sore throat, so we'll see
