buzz for boys

We woke at 7am today and could see there was a good wind blowing the palm trees were really swaying. Today we had planned to go to the beach and it was rearranged following me being ill last week but looking atthe wind we changed our minds and decided we would visit Islands of Adventure instead.
We got ready at leisure today as finally left the house at 11am. We got a good half way there when I realise I hadnt picked up the ticket confirmation - so off back to the villa we go !!
When we get on citywalk I insist on going upstairs to get a Starbucks - every year Ive been promised a Starbucks when we leave and every year something happens that means we speed back to the car and I dont get my Coffee - This Year I was having my coffee if it killed me!!
I got the kids to pose with the surfboard but it appears they are in a silly mood and a proper pic is just not going to happen!!
Eventually we arrive at the guestservice window at 12.30pm but everyone was chilled so its not a complete disaster.
First stop is Marvel land where the kids and wayne spin for their lives while I stand and watch!! I mean noone wants to see my starbucks again do they ?
Then its Spiderman which all 6 of us can do!! I love that this trip there are so many rides we can all do every other trip has seen us with a toddler or small baby and its sooo much nicer when we can all do things together.
Wayne adores the Spiderman ride and is like a kid iun a sweet shop when we exit into the ride shop- I however am having none of it !!! We are moving on !!
We walk straight through the Toon lagoon its a bit chilly today for anything thats going to get us soaking wet!!
Onto the Jurrasic Park river adventure. We had ponchos for everyone so all get dolled up - looking lovely in yellow !!
Now maybe one of us should have rode first to see how suitable this was for Keira but bad parents that we are we just walk her straight onto the ride !
Poor little thing bumped her head on the safety bar when we dropped down and none of us was expecting and wasnt really holding onto her!!
Her words about the dinosaurs " Big Scary Dinosaur was going to eat us !"
The yellow ponchos were very much an over reaction to the tiny spray of water we had!
Next up was the bit my 4 kids had been so excited about for months - Harry Potter land!
The rest of the park was dead and everything had been walk on - wow the whole of Florida is the tiny land that is Harry Potter !!
We used our guest assistance card to get a time to come back and watch the Ollivanders show and then we walked up to Hogwarts. I have to say it is amazing and grand but it just doesnt do it for me like Cinderellas castle does!!
We had a voucher from guest services to get straight to the front of the line so after showing this to team members we found ourselves debating who was going first and who was sitting with Keira who was just under the height requirement. Maybe I should have gone first but I bottled it and let Wayne.
They loved it but after being told about the scary spiders and Wayne saying it was very much like Simpsons I opted out of riding. I didnt want to feel ill for the rest of the day just so I can say id done it !! (Thats my excuse and Im sticking to it - It has NOTHING to do with giant spiders at all!!)
Now I insisted we do something else we could all do so flight of the hippogriff it was!
Keira loved it and kept her arms up the whole way round!! We rode this 3 times in a row before the kids need to enter the shops got the better of them.
In owl post we came across a lovely figure of a spell book - Dan decided he wanted to touch it and it growled and shot towards his finger - he jumped a mile and the rest of us laughed so hard at him!! The other kids tried to get it to do the same and it didnt move so Dan got brave and put his finger through the cage again! It only shot forward again and again he jumped back like the future of his finger depended on it !!
Next up was Honeydukes and the kids were immediatly drawn towards the every flavour beans but where then put off when a Team member told them they contained Vomit flavour beans!
They all went for the safer options.Ben & Dan had a Pick n Mix and Cam a giant chocolate frog! Keira sadly could have nothing from in here as they all contained gluten :-(
We headed back to ollivanders as our time had now come round and the kids tucked into their sweets while we waited for the current show to finish.
Ollivanders was nice and well presented but no way would I wait for anymore than 10 minutes for this show! The kids enjoyed it though.
Now Wayne had sat outside for the last 25 minutes while we shopped and watched the ollivanders show and it was now his turn to choose what next !!
Duelling dragons it is and to our surprise Cam jumps forward and says dont forget me!! He scrapes in as just tall enough!
I sat the whole time with my heart in my mouth how on earth was I allowing him to do all this detah dyfing stuff? The rest of us very brave people tried out the seats for size!
Cam came back buzzing shouting at me ITS THE BEST RIDE EVER CAN I GO AGAIN??
No sorry son my heart cant take it !!
So now we decided to exit this manic area but before we do the boys have a quick chat with the station master.
Now just round the corner is a family favourite - the talking fountain!!
Cam Dan and Ben all run upto it and sit next to it shouting Hello !
The fountain thinks the kids are joking when they start taunting it that it wont squirt them. It starts off with the fountain saying he wont squirt them as its too cold but after 5 mins of the kids dancing in front of it saying " Squirt me !"
It decides to not only squirt them but to also deposit a bucket load of water over the lot of them!!
Remember our theory it was too cold to get wet well it was a bit late now -they were all dripping!!

Keira so much so we had to strip her off and wrap her in cam sweathsirt but when we realise he also was shivering I had to wrap her in my jacket !!
They saw the grinch as we walked past the book store and Keira insisted she needed to meet him! The grinch was not happy that they were all sporting spongebob tops and teased them that until they had Grinch clothes he wouldnt meet them!! I was just wondering what the people behind us thought of my very bizzarely clothed kids!
We did sit on a wall and eat ice cream with wet clothes lined out next to us trying to get them dry but it was just not happening today so we take a very cold bunch of wet kids back to the car !! Good Job I had my starbucks this morning !!
Once back at the villa I made some dinner and chilled while the kids played in the games room with Wayne.
