buzz for boys

This morning I was so excited I was up at 7am making toast and cooking sausages for everyone!
We loaded the boot up with all our possesions and without looking back we were on out way to MAGIC KINGDOM.
We arrived at 9am so I was slightly disappointed that my military style breakfast and out the door had still missed the opening ceremony but hey theres always a next time!
Now we had 3 main aims today they were-
* Ride all 3 mountains (we had never done this!)
* Find Buzz lightyear for Keira
* Find Stitch for Cam
So we had purchased a AAA diamond car park pass this was amazing for not having to cram into the trams and well worth the £10 I paid for it! So we walked ( well I ran they walked!) from the car park to the Ticket centre and without asking the rest I headed straight for the boat!
I have to take the boat across on the first day of every trip I love the way the castle slowly comes into view and you can say you have truly arrived at Magic Kingdom!!
I was so overwhelmed when we walked under the arch into main street, I just couldnt believe we were actually there and I just kind of got swept down main street and into Tommorowland without realising it.
I really felt like I was dreaming and we so couldnt actually be there, it was so weird.
I was awoke from my day dream by the kids who were very excited at the sight of the Stitch ride !! Keira was bouncing as for the very first time she was tall enough too. We Really enjoyed the ride its cheesy but great fun and Keira was not bothered by the dark or any of the effects like i thought she may have been.
Then it was straight onto Buzz space spin and Keira was in Buzz lightyear heaven her little face just lit up !!
As we got off we saw Stitch. Eager to knock something off my list of must dos we lined up. Stitch was fab again and really acts up with my kids. Whilst we were waiting Cam said "OH its good stitch today". But we get Bad stitch when its our turn and thats far more fun!!
He slurped cams head and refused high fives for dan and even turned his back on the kids when they wanted a hug, they were laughing so much at him!
Whilst we were waiting for Stitch we had enquired about where to find Buzz lightyear and had been advised he would be out in around an hours time but get there early as the line was very populaur.
Heeding this advice we decided to knock another thing off our list and do space mountain !!
I loved this ride and was shocked at just how good it was. Granted it would be rubbish in the light but in the dark it had me whoopin with delight. Ben however was scared stiff and his screams were heard back in the UK ! On getting off the ride Dan also declared once was enough so the child swap consisted of just wayne and Cam ! Cam being the only child brave enough to go again. I did however buy the other pansies an Ice cream after all it was getting Hot Hot Hot and Breakfast was a distant memory !
So we go to find Buzz as instructed and the line was HUGE !! Not put off I stood anyway and Im so glad I did it was the most amazing characer interaction ever !!
The instant Buzz saw Keira he dropped to one knee and not really understanding the significance Keira shot forward for a hug !
Then he took both her hands and danced with her
The cm then pointed out that we had Diz lightbear and Buzz went crazy giving him a hug and holding him up to the crowd who responded with a massive cheer and round of applause
Then dan steps forward also sporting a buzz tshirt and Buzz went crazy pointing at everyone and then Dizzy bear and jumping for joy!
Then after another hug he posed for the picture that Keira had been waiting all year to get!
After meeting back up with Cam and wayne we went through to Mickey and Minnies house it will be the last time we ever do this so i wanted to make an effort to show Keira and the boys.
I even took them through to have the pictures with Mickey and Minnie at the end. The pics must be on my photopass as I dont have them on my camera
Then we went through to the princesses. Keira was eager to see them ,all the boys were eager to get out of there and point blank refused to go anywhere there them.On the suggestion they may want too they fled like scolded cats to the exit door to hide.
It was soo funny in that room there was just us and the princesses and they were really laughing at the boys. Cinderella asked Keira why she had bought the prince, the pirate and the poser along with her ?? Keira was too star struck to answer!
Sleeping beauty told her she looked like an adventourous princess in her pretty ranger dress and Keira was beaming. I was just happy that for 30 seconds she was a girly girl and not phased by the boys wanting to disappear.
Then it was time to get out of there im sure the boys left dust in their wake they moved so fast!
We did a few rides and decided we needed food!
Caseys provided the quick snack we were after and even had buns that Keira could eat
We sat down by the river just by the noodle station which was lovely and peaceful admid the chaos of Magic kingdom. It was like someone had flicked a switch for half an hour of calm.
I took a picture of the christmas cup as it reminded me of Wickets trip report which had inspired us to be for christmas !
After lunch Cam said it was time to tackle Splash! as it was very hot and he thought it was a good idea to cool off. As we approached people were putting on rainmacs and really making a bit deal out of getting wet but we are brits and we can take a bit of water so bravely wander through!
We found this ride really bizzare every dip we thought we thought we were going to drop and get wet but no it was just another scene from a wacky rabbit and then the BIG drop came and we didnt realise that was it and none of us got even a tiny bit wet !! Maybe we missed something but it lacked any wow appeal for us even Keira said "is that it?"
Then to tackle the last mountain on our list before the parade starts in half an hour !! Btmrr was a family hit and Keira had her arms up in the air all the way round - even Ben came off smiling !!!
A quick dash to frontierland and we managed to see the start of the parade - Keira loved the fact that the characters waved at her and her dress bought her plenty of attention.
After the parade Keira was nagging that she hadnt seen Woody and Jessie and they had been in the parade so they must be here !! A lovely cm took us to where they would arrive in around 20 mins time we decided to wait it out and was shocked when teh Cm disappeared that the guests behind us really rudely said " I Dont think so we are in line here you know !"
Well I dont mind being told that there was a line but the way she did it was just offensive especialy as she had clearly heard the CM tell us that we were first in line as nobody looked as though they were waiting !!Anyway we moved and went 3 people behind her and they even said the way she pointed out the cm was wrong was just plain rude !! But anyway we sat had drinks and waited for woody and Jessie!!
They again made a massive fuss out of Keiras dress and Keira wouldnt let go of Jessies hand - its moments like that that make the wait to see the characters worthwhile. Watching keiras face light up as she looks up at Jessie was just priceless and worth every second of waiting !!
This was our cue to leave the parks on a high and we had noticed it was now after 4 so we could check into our new home!!
It was pointed out to me by Ben that although I had ran into the parks I was very much the speed of an OAP when making my way out of the park!
Sunset Lakes was amazing the villa was out of this world and exceeded all expectations. The Games room was by far the best we have ever seen and the standard of accomadation was just beyond luxury.
In the main bedroom we opened double doors and revealed a huge ensuite bathroom that was the size of our lounge at home we just kept being amazed by what we found !!
So as you would expect we didnt venture very far we were all very happy to just kick back and enjoy our new home !!
