Just got home at 12:28 AM.....We were at the local Barnes and Noble store since 7:30pm....

Oldest DD has just gone to her room to beginning the marathon reading session......

we have 2 copies a regular one and a leather bound.....YIPPEE...

Hope everybody else had a great Harry Potter NIGHT...

I'm off to bed...

Congratulations, we weren't able to go to the book store tonight but are planning on a very early Sam's trip tomorrow.

It's actually only 11:55 my time right now (CST). I went to the B&N a few miles north of me so I could get it at 12:00 Eastern time!! So now I'm home before the book has even gone on sale at the closer stores!!

I'm getting ready to start reading!!

We aquired ours at 12:30 this morning. It was not nearly as bad as I had expected. Borders was well organized.

It is sitting in my room. I told Matt he had to have his bedroom clean. Then we would start reading. I hate being a mom at these times. I want to start reading it NOW.

I'm a little upset with Amazon. I pre-ordered quite awhile ago and I just got an email saying it had been shipped today which means I won't get it until some time next week!! If I would have known they were going to wait until today to ship it, I would have just been at the book store early to buy it. I had thought they would ship it so it would arrive today or Monday at the latest!

I got my book around noon today from Amazon via FEDEX. I'm surprised some people who ordered from Amazon are having problems, if you ordered early enough (I think by May) you should have received it today.
I was so nervous my apartment building's porter was going to accept delivery (he does that when people aren't home) that I left
a note saying I was home. The FEDEX guy was real funny, he brought up my book and my note and asked me if I was expecting a package! He said it was real busy today but he would be done in an hour or so since they have extra people
working today.
I just started to read it and was already holding my breath!

I did not get one pre-ordered and I figured I was going to have to wait a bit to get one, BUT I went to Walmart this morning and they had about 50 or so copies left Reading it right now!

I picked up our copy early this morning.

I'd love to start reading it, but DS gets home from camp this afternoon. He has sooooooo been looking forward to the new book. I'm being a very nice Mom and letting him read it first.

We were at a Harry Potter party last night at Barnes & Noble and got our copy. I'm letting oldest DD read it while I finish re-reading Volume 4. That way, if she needs re-freshing on something that happened in that book, I'm already re-freshed! But the poor girl had to get up early to do 4 hours of volunteer work and now she's sacked out and won't be able to read it for a while.

I was one of those who put off pre-ordering and figured I would have to wait. Found mine at Walden's Book Store after lunch with a 30% discount. Books a Million was completely sold out.

I've started reading it and all I can say is hummmmmmmm.

Got mine from Amazon this afternoon. They even had special Harry Potter boxes that stated they could not be delivered until today!

Mine came from Amazon at 10 a.m. today. I didn't think they would really get it here on the 21st, but they did! I showed a lot of restraint and waited until 10:13 to start reading it.
