Okay, so we have an ADR at CP for 7:00pm.
Now Spectromagic starts at 8 and Wishes at 9. Is the CP a good place to view Spectromagic and Wishes? If not, where would you reccomend us moving to?

You can't really see the parade from INSIDE the CP (views blocked by people standing on the sidewalks) plus its a fair distance from the street where the parade takes place.

Here's my suggestion.

You did not say WHAT DATE you had this set up, but regardless:

Arrive at CP 45 minutes EARLY for your ADR, and tell the CM at the seating window that you are there and ready. Its likely that you will be seated a bit early.

Your meal should take about an hour to enjoy.

While its POSSIBLE that you can then exit CP and find a place to "wiggle in" near the castle to see Spectro and Wishes, I think that those guests who have been waiting in those spots in that area (and ALL areas near Main Street) for the entire time that your group has been eating at CP) would NOT appreciate your "extra company" RIGHT BEFORE the parade is due. ;)

So...

Waste no time exiting CP and make your way to the LEFT... and walk ALL THE WAY THROUGH Adventureland.
At the end of Advnetureland (past PotC), loop around to the right over to Frontierland.
You will now be near Splash Mtn.
Find a spot on the street to see the parade.
There will be guests waitng here, but not nearly as packed together as up by the castle at this time.

Because the SpectroMagic parade STARTS at the front of MK and moves SLOWLY to the back, if you watch from the "far end" of Frontierland:
Parade Starts near the Main Street RR Station- 8:00pm
Parade reaches YOU in Fronierland- 8:25pm
Parade Over- 8:45pm
Wishes Starts- 9:00pm
Wishes Over- 9:13pm

You can see and hear Wishes very well from back in the park where you are.
Best spot is on the BRIDGE that goes from the Frontierland street towards Splash and BTM. You can even see Tinker Bell's flight and the sound is great here.
Its not as good as seeing Wishes from in front of the castle, but its still a great show from here.

Where should we go if we just want to see Wishes good? Wishes is about 100 times more important for us than Spectromagic.

Would it still be rude to 'wiggle' in about half an hour before Wishes? I can't imagine they have been waiting for it for much longer than half an hour.

P.S. This will be with three people for 9/25.

The "sweet-spot" for Wishes is Main Street and the Hub.
A good spot is near the "Hub-end" of the bridge between the Hub and Tomorrowland. And over on the same side of the street as CP, along the area with the umbrella tables for Casey's restaurant.
These spots are where the show is "centered" and designed to offer ALL effects.
And that's where MOST people try to see it.

But...
Many view it from near the dock for the paddle-wheel Steam Ship in Liberty Square.
Some watch from the bridge that links the main Frontierland street to Splash Mountain.
Some find spots to sit in other areas of Liberty Square and Frontierland.
All of these areas offer a good view of many/most of the effects, but not all... and certainly not in the "foreground-background/dual-layer" manner in which the show is created.

I will tell you where NOT to view it.
No matter how TEMPTING it may appear before the show:
Do NOT stand on the sidewalk between the Hub and Frontierland,
or on the sidewalk between the Hub and Adventureland.
Trees nearly totally obscure the main larger fireworks, and the audio is (most-likely INTENTIONALLY) MISSING (no speakers) in these areas.

Also, the upper level of the Main Street train station (a great palce to see the "SpectroMagic" Parade) is a tempting but BAD choice for "Wishes".
They DON'T turn off the LIGHTS on the last few buildings on this end of Main Street (or on the train platform) during the show, so the lights are in your eyes the whole time.

Another "ought-to-be-GREAT-but-ISN'T choice is from the "Noodle Station" seating area (the open-air counter-service restaurant that's between Main Street and Tomorrowland).
Not only do they NOT turn off the lights here (and the sound is not clear), most of the fireworks are hidden from view by the roof of the restaurant and/or the large PYLON that's on the bridge to Tomorrowland.
(I will say that there ARE a very few spots in this restaurant area that DO offer GOOD unobstructed views, but you MUST be in those exact spots and not mind the ceiling lights being on and the lack of good sound.)

Okay then, sounds like we'll have a good Wishes viewing spot.
Thanks. :)

Short answer, ah, yup. Why do I say this? I've been 'wiggled' in on. More like trampled out of the way and guilted into 'making room' for people. Don't do it - you seem like a nice DISer.

Ok then, no wiggling. :rotfl:
Hopefully we'll get a good enough view if we get to the Hub/Main Street half an hour before Wishes.
