Is this unusual? I was worried about ROFR, but now I'm just wondering how long we'll be on hold waiting for the seller to accept the contract. We didn't bargain with them and gave them their asking price. Hubby and I are coming up with all kinds of ideas why it takes so long. Has anyone else come across this? The owners live in FL, so it's not an "out of the country" issue. Unless they are out of the country on vacation or something. Oh well, just have to wait I guess. Thanks for listening.

7 days is on unusual. Remember it takes a notary AND two witnesses. Not an easy task to get done for many. Plus mail time, out of town, etc. I wouldn't worry yet.

Similiar situation happened to us. Seller lived in Orlando, but it took about 2 weeks for all papers to be finalized.!!! It was quite aggrevating especially since the seller was so close she could have driven it over!!!!

THanks so much! I thought all they had to do was sign the contract and mail it back. I didn't realize there was more to it than that. I guess I'm over anxious about becoming a DVC owner  Anyway, we just booked a vacation for WDW and are leaving on March 26th!!! Only 16 days to go!!!:Pinkbounc
