Wet & Wild Closing at the end of 2016

So, if they build a new park, not water park, in the Wet n Wild location, what theme would you want to see?

I don't know what to think. Harry Potter isn't very possible. Marvel might not work because of situation with Disney owning it. I guess they could do something animal-themed, aka Jurassic World, but they are already building that.

Well, that article seems to lead toward the building of another hotel and not a park. Having just returned from US/IOA, another park would be nice. The parks were crowded. Another onsite hotel with perks will only add to the long park lines.

For those that have been, is it worth it to go to Wet n wild if you've never been? We have a day set aside for water parks but I'm not sure we'd love that one.

New hotels won't have EP though.

Here's a thought. They use the Wet and Wild area for an employee's parking lot and shuttle them to Universal. This frees up employee parking areas for further expansion ON property.

This made my Hubs and kids sad because they absolutely LOVED Wet n' Wild and wanted to return there when we go back in 2017! Now, I've never been to the Disney waterparks but it is my understanding that the theming is pretty amazing at those.. and it appears that the new Volcano Bay will also be pretty awesome.. but we had a blast at Wet n' Wild and had no complaints. We got there early and found a nice shady area to put our stuff. There were plenty of things for the entire family to do and it wasn't terribly crowded there. While some areas did seem a little "dated" it wasn't dirty or run down.

I am curious to see what they do with the land..

If they ever come to an agreement with Tolkein's estate, it would be perfect for a Middle Earth theme park.

yeah i figured that was coming, since the other announcement. I think they want to have something a little more accessible to the rest of the property. Walking distance I guess.

How about a combo of past and upcoming animated (or based on animated stories) films from Universal? The park could have areas like:

Scooby Doo
The Flinstones
Coraline
Boxtrolls
Monster High
Clifford

i feel more than likely they will build a hotel there. i don't think they will build another park off property, since that's why they are putting a water park closer to the rest of the resort in the first place.

plus i don't know if universal could handle a 3rd gate right now, unless they have been getting a lot of near capacity days.

Also if they were to consider a 3rd park, it would have to have a completely different concept from the other 2 parks, so that it wont pull attendance from the other 2, because a 3rd thrill park wouldn't work, in my opinion.

Yes, it is worth visiting - especially if your family is into the more thrilling water rides. They have the most thrilling rides of all the water parks in Orlando. Brain Wash is my favorite!

If you do go, make sure you review the cooler policy on their website, as they have recently changed it and are enforcing it.

Yes, it is an older park and it shows at times - but consider giving it a try. :)
