Westin Anaheim best way to parks?

First time visitor. Trying to figure out the best route from the Westin Anaheim hotel. Would love help figuring out best walking/catching a shuttle method.


Is it better to:


1. Walk to downtown Disney simba parking lot and grab a park shuttle if that exists? (I know one does for Toy Story parking area


Or


2. Walk down W. Katella Ave, pray for a crosswalk and walk down Disneyland drive?

This is how we walked in the mornings:

At night, we cut through the Grand Californian to get back. It shaved off some time and steps. You unfortunately cannot enter the grand Californian in the morning because there is a gate that requires a key.

There is an ART stop right in front of the Westin too, if you want to do that.

There is not a shuttle from Simba parking since guests walk directly into security checkpoint and Downtown Disney from lot, and yes there is a crosswalk at Katella & Disneyland Drive you can use Google Maps street view to zoom in/around area prior to trip.



....if the sidewalk seems odd direction change you actually walk through a hidden Mickey
