Has anyone used points to stay at any of the Westgate resorts? I'm thinking about trying for the one in Gatlinburg next summer. I haven't had any luck with a trade for ski season and I know 2007 will be a hard trade because we ski over Mardi Gras and it's also President's Day in 2007!

Thanks!

I suggest you check the price of using cash to stay there. Rent your points out here on the board, and use the money top book your stay. I believe if you do this, you will get your week, and have $300-$600 dollars left over from the money you get from renting your points.

My parents own at Westgate Smoky Mountains and LOVE it there. We are going with them in May for a stay, so I plan to take plenty of pictures. The two bedrooms have fireplaces. The studios have a small stove (burners, but no oven in the studios, though).

Here's their website:

Mom said they are putting in a lazy river at the resort. I think it may already be in. I think there's also a stable.

We also own at Westgate (our purchase pre-Disney). Well anyway, the resorts are nice but I must say we stayed at the river ranch I think it was called it was like dude ranch in the middle of no where in Florida. It was really nice and kind of a different kind of fun. I think you will find the resorts clean and fun and entertaining.

You might try this site: www.westgatereservations.com and see whether you can get a really great price. If you do, you'll have to endure one of their sales pitches though, and Westgate is notoriously obnoxious, even in the timeshare sales industry!
