Yes, we can get unlimited park hoppers (length of stay passes) at a 10% discount. Many here, including me, do not feel these tickets are the best value. Many here purchase an annual pass (myself included). Unfortunately, there is not a DVC discount on annual passes.
You didn't ask but I thought I would mention that DVC owners have a timeshare that retains it's value, and, in fact, if we sold, we would recoup our original cost + make enough to cover dues. I noticed what Westgate is getting on resale so that's another reason to consider DVC.
Yes indeed, as Cruella has given a good example in the above post, there are many good reasons to buy DVC other than ticket discounts.
The fact that you visit Disney often is a very good reason to look into DVC. If you would enjoy staying on property, that is a very good reason for buying DVC.
