Western In Aug?? Weather??

Has anyone sailed the Western in Aug? We just returned from the 1/04 cruise and I was a little chilly. Hoping for better weather next cruise. Still had a great time! I rebooked while onboard and am wondering if I did the right thing by booking for Aug. How is the weather? Rainy? Too hot? Let me know.

Sorry Darlene, can't answer your question, but was wondering which date of the western. DD10 and I will be on the 8/16 and I did start a roll call but its 'lost' right now I'll have to bump it.

Oops, I should have noted that we are booked for Aug 2004. I wish it were this Aug! Hope you and your daughter have a wonderful cruise...and let me know how the weather was when you get back.

Hey Darlene....fellow 1/4 cruiser!!!!

We sailed this past August during the week of August 3rd. We did the Western. The weather was hot, hot, hot....nothing like last week. We were very chilly last week both indoors and out. The ship seemed so much colder this time around. We were told that the A/C stays the same temp year round but it seemd to be quite chilly indoors.

Key West was unbearably hot. Even hotter than Grand Cayman or Cozumel which were both about 85 and humid. Much warmer than the January cruise.

Hi Darlene. We were on the Magic this past August. Enjoyed the cruise so much that I rebooked for this coming August. The weather was hot but not unbearable. Drink a lot of fluids, use a strong sun screen and wear a hat on shore excursions. I am sure you will have a terrific time on an August cruise...

No one mentioned rain, and that is what I am most concerned about. Has anyone gotten totally rained out?

We were on the Wonder August 00, beautiful weather no rain, high seas going back to port, hurricane. Magic Eastern 01, rained out in St. Thomas around lunch and late arriving at CC, tropical depression. Magic Western 02, rained out deck party one night. All 3 times we had beautiful weather at CC and all the other ports except for St. Thomas afternoon. We are booked for 2003 Eastern, got to hit St. Thomas again, so even though we did have some rain we still perfer August, beautiful beach weather. When you are on the ship there is always a breeze.

I've never been on Western in August , but I'll tell you that August is way hot in South Florida....I couldnt imagine it being any cooler in the Caribbean...

This is for vcasey. We are going on the western 0n 8/16/03!! I have a DS that will be turning 11 on the 17th of Aug. Maybe the kids can get together.
