There is another thread out there about the best night to dine at Palo on the eastern itinerary, so I thought I would try to get some ideas for the western. Whether you have already sailed on the western or are still in the planning stages, what is your ideal night to have dinner at Palo?

My top 3 picks are:
1. First seating of the first night. Hoping this will allow us to join our boys at our 8:30 rotation dinner time, so we can meet our servers (and feed the kids! ). I don't care about missing the show.

2. 8:00 Grand Cayman evening. We can all see Hercules together, then split up for dinner.

3. Cozumel, time: ?. The menu doesn't sound that good to me on this night, though I did go out and buy tropical shirts for the boys (including DH!).

I really don't want to eat apart from our kids on Key West night (it will be Easter), formal or semi-formal night, or our last night.

So, what is your ideal night at Palo?

We are doing it the night we are in Parot Cay for the normal rotation. We don't care for that menu.

My ideal night to eat at Palo...all of them. I would miss any night in the dining room to eat at Palo!

My preference would be Mexicali night, but I'd take anything.

We actually went on Thurs, captains Gala night and it was wonderful. there's lobster in Palo too.

We have ours booked for Grand Caymen evening. Then we will get all restaurants twice. We booked at 6:30 so we hope to catch Hercules and join the kids by 8:30.

DW loves Mexican so we couldn't skip Mexic......

My first choice would be the Grand Cayman night too. That's the 4th night, so it would be the night you would repeat the restaurant you had the first night. That said, I think the 4th night is a popular night to pick, so if I couldn't get that then my next choice is Parrot Cay in the regular rotation (which would be one of your first three nights). There are plenty of other opportunities to eat at Parrot Cay at other times and of the first three rotating dinner menus, I thought Lumiere's was the best and AP was okay, but we got to see the light show. Oh, and formal nights are Monday and Thursday, so keep that in mind if you plan to be in the regular dining room for formal night.

We did it on Formal night. We asked for (and received) the APL rotation so that we were in Lumiere's for Formal and Semi-Formal night. It was nice to get dressed up for a beautiful evening in Palo.

We did it Cozumel night -- It was nice to see the lights of the city out the window. I cannot remember what was in the theater (movie night, I think)

I did not want to go to Palo formal, semi-formal or on a night that had a show. This pretty much left Wednesday night -- cozumel night.
