Western Caribbean Excursions

We are on the Fantasy in November and I'm trying to decide on excursions for myself, DH and DS (8).

Grand Cayman is going to be my shopping day so I'm mostly trying to figure out Falmouth and Cozumel. We know we want one dolphin encounter.

Falmouth: Dunns River Falls, Dolphin Encounter, High Tea or the Green Grotto Caves.

Cozumel: Dolphin Encounter, or Playa Mia. The only problem with the dolphin encounter is the company I was going to use only has a 1:00 time available and the boat leaves at 3:45. I'm worried about cutting it too close.

Finns river falls is great, for the Dolphins do not book it, it's too tight you will be clock watching they may run late, it will be rushed and not enjoyable. Book with DCL.

We did playa Mia as part of our Cozumel trip and loved it, wish we could have skipped the other part of the excursion! I have a 5 and 7 year old and they could have easily spent the whole day there. We actually went into ocho rios instead of Falmouth (disney first!!) but we did the sky explorer and Dunn rivers false and really enjoyed that too but didn't have nearly the drive since we were in ocho rios

We are taking the same cruise in late September. We also went last year, but want to try something else in Jamaica this time.

We have done Playa Mia 3 times and I have booked it again for this cruise coming up. We really love it and my husband likes to buy the handcrafted leather goods at the little shop right outside the beach/pool area.
Last year we took the tour of the Good Hope Estate and really enjoyed it. This time we are going to Green Grotto I booked the Dunns Falls one earlier, but then my kids and husband decided they did not want to have another beach day on top of the Castaway Cay and Playa Mia, AND they did not really want to climb the falls.Which is the main attraction of going I am told.

Has anyone done the dolphin swim in Jamaica? Would you recommend that one or the one in Cozumel?

I wouldn't book a dolphin swim at either location. They are horrid for the animals. *shudder*

We did the river tubing in Jamaica and had a ball! Our guide was fabulous and I enjoyed hearing all about the history of the river and plantation property. We would do that again in a heartbeat.

We ended up zip lining and bobsled at mystic mountain & loved it!!! Well worth the money.
