West Street or Harbor Blvd?

Hi,

We're staying at the Hyatt, on Chapman Avenue. Is it better to walk down Harbor Blvd, which seems like every hotel is on, or to walk down a block to West Street and come into Disneyland through Downtown Disney? Is it even possible to do this?

The gates into the park are closer to the Harbor side. Its a short walk from Habor through the shuttle drop off. Going the other way, you'd walk pretty far just to get through DD. Of course, you could go that direction and grab the monorail. Personally, I have to start my day walking down Mainstreet, so I wouldn't want to take the Monorail in.

The Hyatt is at the corner of Chapman and Harbor. I would think Harbor is quicker and easier, but I can't imagine that you would want to walk. It's around 1 1/2 mile each way to and from DL. That may not seem like a long ways, but when you add it to the miles you will be putting on your feet while at the parks, it is significant. You might prefer to take the shuttle.

Youch, I had no idea it was that far - just goes to show, when they say 'map not to scale', they mean it!

How much do cabs cost? I'm concerned about taking the shuttle to get there on Tuesday morning - we want to be there for Early Entry.
