We're a long distance couple  (He's in Seattle with his daughter, I'm in SF for work) vacationing together for his daughter's 7th birthday! :cheer2: I've been to DL many times, and we've gone as a family to DL once before (when DD was too short to ride most of the good rides ;) We'll be hitting WDW for the first time ever in only 1 week and we're so excited! We leave early morning Wednesday (5 am!) and arrive at MCO at 4:20pm. DBF has a stretch limo as a surprise for the DD to take us to WL! :woohoo:

We're staying at the WL in a Deluxe room (extra room...yeah!) with CL. Still confused on what - if any - specific room requests we should make on the Deluxe. We'd like any kind of view and don't mind walking, though would prefer not to be on the ground floor. *ANY* suggestions on room requests welcome.

We purchased the DDP and have the following ADRS:

Lunches: Sci-Fi Diner
Dinners: Cinderella's Royal Table, Coral Reef, Jiko, Ohana

Want breakfast at Kona but haven't made any ADR yet - how likely is it to get a last minute ADR for breakfast?

I'm wrestling with wanting to plan every minute to leaving some flexibility as this is our first time.

We have planned the first day as the big celebration day for DD birthday. We'll go to MK for EMH and have ressies for BBB for the DD at 4:30pm and dinner at CRT at 7:30pm. Ideally we'll hit EMH and the good rides - Space Mountain and TM, maybe Splash Mountain? and head back to the hotel to clean up/cool off before the BBB reservation. How much time should we plan for the MK -> WL -> DD trip?

Other days we haven't planned as well yet - just know we want AK for EMH (for EE and Safari). We're also doing Epcot, TL, and at least 1/2 day at MGM.

Figuring most days we'll get up early(-ish, I'm a late owl and we're on the West Coast!) and have breakfast at the CL, then rides at a park, then back to the hotel for swimming/rest, and then back toward evening plans which will most likely revolve around dinner. We may take advantage of WL babysitting for a dinner - has anyone used this?

So far we haven't made any specific reservations for shows, wanting to spend time at the parks and decide how we're feeling before making specific plans. Any shows that are hard to get in last minute that we should plan around?

Other "might want to do" plans include the campfire at Fort Wilderness, racer boats on the lake, massages at the Spa (has anyone had this and can recommend?), the Hoop-de-doo review and am considering Artists Point for another dinner. I've tried getting Le Cellier ADRs but it is totally booked. Hoping we can have the Concierge keep trying for us as we approach our trip. I'm also looking forward to Illuminations and fireworks. I have always loved the Electric Light Parade at DL - is there a comparable parade at WDW?

I have to admit, having been to DL so many times mostly I've concentrated on MK. Trying to keep in mind *everything* WDW has to offer and am especially looking forward to Epcot World Showcase. I'm open to any and all other suggestions :)

The countdown has started - 7 days! We can't wait! :dance3:
