With the sailings rapidly approaching and cabins coming available, do the DCL experts on this board foresee discounted bookings to fill the ships? Currently my family can choose from 10 sailings, but cabins are pricing out at $10,900. for our family of five. Splitting into 2 cabins drops the rate to $10,200. There appears to be more availability everyday, as final payments are due. The downside of this is that only late dining is available at this time.

DCL is not known for any last minute booking discounts like other cruise companies are. They know the ship is going to be pretty much full and they can get the price.

I wouldn't hold my breath for any discounted pricing....

I agree. DCL rarely, if ever discounts their staterooms, because the ships usually sail close to or at full capacity. The West Coast sailings were very expensive to begin with, due to their special nature. I'm booked on the 7/9/05 sailing and as of today, DCL is still showing my sailing as sold out, and most other July sailings sold out as well. If you have the ability to get a cabin, grab it, because there are VERY few if any left.
