Were you proposed to at Disney? I'd love to hear about it! Do you wish you were proposed to there? What would your dream proposal be?

Here's mine:

Illuminations Cruise... pre Illuminations. Then watch the fireworks, then go have some ice cream and walk on the beach/ at the pool of the Swalphin. :cloud9:. It didn't happen to me, but that would have been nice ;) We DID honeymoon at Disney though.... amazing :bride:

Would love to hear your proposal stories or dream proposals!

My fiance and I got engaged in Disneyland right after the "Dreams Come True" fireworks display on Dec. 5, 2005. We were so excited to go (we were there for our anniversary) and it was our first night there, and towards the end of the fireworks I said "this is so perfect" and he looked at me and said "do you know what would make it even more perfect?" and he pulled the ring out of his pocket, got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. I couldn't have asked for anything better!

I was proposed to in Disneyland too! My favorite spot is the staircase in the Court of Angels in New Orleans Square. We were sitting on the bench there waiting for our reservation at the Blue Bayou. There were some other people there, and I later learned DF was waiting for them to leave but didn't want to let the opportunity pass, so he went for it. He stood up, so I stood up, but then he dropped to one knee (which I *never* thought he'd do!) and proposed. I was in shock. When they finally left, the people said "Congratulations!"

I would have loved to been proposed to in Disney ~ anywhere in Disney! I was proposed to the day we left for Disney, about an hour before the car service came to pick us up. I found out later that my DF was afraid to go through security with the ring in case they made him pull it out. :rotfl2:

These are some great stories! Here's mine.....
DH and I went to Ohana's for dinner at Disney World, which he had booked without telling me (which is very weird cause we always talk about this stuff, but he said he wanted to try it so I went along) All day we had been having perfect day! No waits for rides, boats arriving exactly when we wanted them to! Just perfect! So we went to our hotel and got ready for dinner and headed to the Polynesian. Then our seemingly perfect day gets better when we are shown to our table. It is two person table right on the window directly facing Magic Kindgom. It is 8:15, so I exclaim that we will be able to see Wishes and I wonder if they pipe in the music like California Grill. He doesn't know. So we are eating wonderful, amazing dinner and then the music starts and I get all excited, saying they pipe in the music! He kind of smirks and I ask him why he didn't tell me? We are watching the fireworks from our amazing view and I say how today has been just so perfect! He says, "Would you like me to make it a little more perfect?" I turn to him and he is holding this beautiful ring and says "Will you marry me?" and I start crying and just stare at him and he asks me if maybe, I would like to try the ring on. So I say, yes, of course I will marry you and we kiss. I'm still crying and he says, do you want me to make the surprise better? Better? how could it get better? To which he says, we have a 11:00 appointment with the wedding planner at Disney's Fairy Tale Wedding Studio!

I proposed to Amy behind the castle after one of the shows (too busy up front with the characters out). It was Amy's first trip to disney, and first day at MK. We watched the stage show, then we went behind the castle. I asked a lady to take our picture (I whispered to her to take a few of them...she was confused at first, then got it once she knew what was going on). Then I got down on one knee and went for it. So we have some great pictures from it, and everyone around was clapping for us.

The fireworks is a popular thing, we even saw one during Wishes on a recent trip. But the streets are crowded and fireworks going off are loud. I just wanted something quiet and low-key.

One of the pics is our avatar to the left.

I was proposed to at Disney World at Halloween at the party. Fiance' proposed to me on Cinderella's Carousel. He waited until it was slowing down though and even then I almost fell off my horse. I got all tongue tied and shrieky and then he asked me if that was a yes and I nodded and we kissed and some people nearby clapped. It was fun!

My best friend got proposed to during the fireworks and I've seen other couples do the same.

I was lured to Sunset Pointe at the Poly under the guise of a belated birthday dinner - location was a surprise. I thought we were going to the Luau.

We went to the beach to watch Wishes, and he kept trying to get away from the people who kept arriving. We walked down and stood on the hillside, and during Wishes he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.

Then he took me to V&A's for dinner!

My computer is acting up and somehow I posted my story twice..sorry!

I got engaged at Disney world in June! My fiance had never been there so we went with my sister and her family for star wars weekend. I was hoping he would ask me when we were down there but it didn't happen the first couple days so I just put it out of my mind. Sunday night we were at Magic Kingdom watching wishes and he leaned over and said he needed to talk to me..I turned around and he started talking about how great our trip had been but he had something to make it even better and he pulled out the ring box. He didn't get down on one knee because there were so many people crowded around but he asked me to marry him and of course I said yes. We watched the rest of the fireworks and afterwards we announced to my sisters family we were getting married. Everyone around us overheard and started clapping and wanted to check out my ring. Magic Kingdom was open late that night so after I ran to the bathroom to check out my ring (I couldn't see it when he asked me it was so dark out) we went and rode a bunch of stuff. It was a perfect night and right before we left for the night and the park was almost empty we got some great pictures from the disney photographers, they even made him get down on one knee with the castle in the background. Everytime I think about it I smile, it was a great night :goodvibes

Hi, these have been such wonderful stories! Congratulations to you all.
My DF proposed mid-day inside The Stretching Room of the Haunted Mansion this past December. Right after looking up to see the hanging, I just grabbed his arm to get going into the que line and he was pulling me back-duh! When I realized we weren't moving I looked and...there was the ring! With many weird looks, a yes, and many more laughs we were on our way to the doombuggies. To me the location was a :thumbsup2, perfect and well thought out.
I look forward to hearing many other stories!

I was proposed to at WDW last March. It was a huge surprise and my fiance worked with dreams of a lifetime (I think thats the name of the company :confused3 ) He even had my dad and his parents come down and they saw the whole thing, I never even knew they were there. :bride:

My fiance proposed outside the Haunted Mansion last September. We were looking for the "ring" on the ground from the story. Once I found it I pointed to the ground and said "There it is!" but when I looked up he was standing there holding a real engagement ring! I freaked out!:woohoo: It was perfect because the Haunted Mansion is my favorite spot in all Disney. I am hoping to get some wedding pics taken there.:cool1:

was it Gifts of a Lifetime? :)

I proposed to my wife at 1900 Park Fare. Mickey and Minnie came over to our table,he got down on one knee and did a proposal to Minnie. Then he got up and pointed to me as if to say "your turn". I gave my wife a Minnie doll with the ring around the neck and I actually got the whole speech out without screwing up.

My FH proposed to me at Disney World after the fireworks show on July 4th in front of Cinderellas Castle. It was so sweet.

I too was engaged at WDW. My Husband did it right when the Wishes Fireworks began. It was so sweet and people around us were clapping.

My Dh proposed to me at Epcot, in a little used area between innoventions and the Living Seas. He didn't want it to be around a ton of people and I was all good with that. My shoe was untied and he told me he would tie my shoe for me, and after he did that he got on one knee and proposed. He said he was going to wait for illuminations, but thought this was his perfect opportunity.

Yup Yup I was!!! DF proposed to me at DLR on our 5 year anniversary while we were eating dinner at the Blue Bayou. If you want full details with pics see PJ Link below:goodvibes
