For the Chicago Air and Water Show?? The city estimated over 2 million, about 2.5 million, turned out this year, great weather and all. It is one of the highlights of the summer here. We only went once, back in '91, very memorable, very impressive.

DH and I were not there but I feel as though I had been there after seeing your amazing pictures.
Thank you.:sunny:

We were at the Back to School soccer tourny in Elgin saw the Stealth and B-52 fly directly over the fields. It was an awesome sight:sunny:

DH and I took DD downtown this weekend to stay and be tourists in our own town. We had planned this ages ago and didn't realize it was the Air and Water Show! :p

Fri, we walked from the Palmer House, where we stayed, all the way to the Shedd Aquarium, and from there, had a teriffic view of all the practice runs. It was spectacular. As DH said, it makes you feel safer when you see these planes up close and know they our on our side!

I was in Chicago this weekend, but I promise I didn't take anybody's parking space;)

I was not one of the 2 million, but I am in a direct flight path with EAA in Oshkosh WI.

I love watching the old war birds come in.

Dan you have amazing photo's. Thanks

wasn't there but wanted to say how nice them pics are..:D

We were there-what a beautiful day! Where did you get those pictures?

Hey, not my photos, LOL, I was not there. Just pulled them from the Tribune and a couple other sites that had some. If you think I could have taken those................. I would love to have, LOL.

Last time I went wa 2 years ago and I watched from the hancok building to avoid the crowds. Best seat to watch from

We went for our annual trip...but this time we viewed from Navy Pier...nice and all, but I missed the hoopla on the beach. The weather was as perfect as could be, and folks were all friendly and many smiles with the OOOOOHHH'S, AAAAHHHH'S and WHOA'S! There's nothing like being buzzed by an F-16! :earseek: :teeth: We love the airshow...and it's free!!!!!!
Thanks for the pic's Dan...matter of fact we just finished watching the re-cap on channel 7!

Pam
