Were you a fan of the Drew Carey show growing up?

I remember that I did watch it some in its original run. I remember it being a pretty good show, but it has been so long I could not tell you the plot of a single episode. I DO remember the theme song was great.

Like a PP I was in my 20’s when it first aired but yes, my husband and I really enjoyed it even all the way here in Australia - we were singing “Cleveland Rocks” the other week (we were in Chicago and passed a sign to Cleveland)

I was in my 30’s when it aired and have lived in Ohio, about an hour from Cleveland, my whole life and loved the show. I’m a big fan of Drew Carey.

I used to love that show. One of the best ABC sitcoms. It even featured The Vogues' "Five O'Clock World", for added cool points.

I was thinking about the show this morning. Particularly the footage from when Rosie O'Donnell and the Drew Carey cast rode the Superstar Limo ride. That horrid ride would have been incredibly dated if they kept it going, even if they rotated celebrities.

Growing up? No. I was 25 when it premiered. 😂 I watched it on occasion but it wasn’t a “must watch“ for me.
LOL. I was 39 when it premiered! And the TV station I worked for at the time a few months earlier had switched from ABC to CBS, so it wasn't even on my radar. Not a Drew Carey fan. He's just sooooooo awkward, and maybe that's his character but not a fan. Tolerated him on Whose Line Is It Anyway, just like I tolerate Aisha Tyler now. We watched the original British version hosted by Clive Anderson, and he was perfect as host, so he set the bar pretty high for Carey and Tyler.

I was all done growing up when it premiered, but I did watch and enjoy the Drew Carey Show. I was introduced to it via Whose Line Is It Anyway? I went to a number of live improve shows and met Drew several times. He seemed like a nice guy.D Carey 01.jpgD Carey 02.jpg

I loved it growing up--it was easily one of my favorite shows. Even so, I was a bit skeptical when Drew was selected to host The Price Is Right, but even though the early episodes were a bit shaky I feel like he really stepped up to the plate and has proved himself to be a worthy successor to Bob Barker.

My father was a huge fan of The Drew Carey Show since it's debut and he never ever missed a single episode when it was on. My favorite character was Mimi because she looked fun and had great energy and I thought the use of The Vogues hit Five O'Clock World was such a great theme and it made The Drew Carey Show fun to watch but I don't know why they changed it? But as soon as Cleveland Rocks became the new theme song I LOVED it and it inspired me to wear a Cleveland Indians baseball cap like Drew wore in the intro and I would wear it and dance to the theme song when it started. I can't figure out how Drew Carey became the new host of The Price Is Right but if it wasn't for The Drew Carey Show Drew wouldn't become a household name for ABC and I think this show is actually the show that started his sitcom talents and I wish he had another sitcom because sitcoms are Drew Carey's strongest links in addition to game show hosting
