Were we treated like royalty...? I think so! April R&R TR *Cindy's and Spectro Video*

After dinner we were totally and completely stuffed. I thought I might need to be rolled back to the room. It was definitely time to head to MK and walk around for a few hours. I slyly told DH I didn't want to wear my nice dress to MK, and it was getting a bit chilly so I needed a sweater so we headed back to the room. Little did DH know...I had a lovely, very special surpise for him waiting in the room...

The cake was perfect! I could not have been happier with and DH was totally surprised! It came with a stack of plates, forks, and napkins on a nice little tray. We of course were way too stuffed to eat any at the moment, but it sure did look good!

After a quick change, we were back on the boat to MK. I quickly learned that I would love the convenience of that quick boat ride! We arrived about an hour or so before the fireworks so we decided to hit up Fantasyland first. We hopped on IASW....

...and then headed to Cindy's Carousel without an line at all!

IMG_2540.jpg

DH was pretty excited that his horse had armor...Quite fitting for my Army man!

IMG_2542.jpg

Mine of course had pink roses! :)

By this point, it was time to find our spot for Wishes. I vowed that this time I was just going to sit and take in the fireworks without taking any photos. I have to admit, it was incredibly romantic to sit and just enjoyed the show with DH. We of course sat at the Noodle Station so I had a perfect view of my girl Tink.

After the fireworks we took our time getting out of the park. There was no reason to rush out and we wanted to just take it all in.

My dad is a landscape designer, and his green thumb rubbed off slightly on me so naturally, I thought the Celebrate Today planters were pretty cool at MK! I snapped a few photos for the padre before we headed out.

Once we got back, we were finally ready for some cake, and oh man was it gooooooooood! :cloud9:

Great way to end a very fabulous first day!

Stay tuned to find out why after our day at Epcot we were having the best week ever.... :woohoo:

I woke up before my alarm went off this morning, so I just read you last two updates. What a nice start to your trip. Your meal at AP looked fantastic. I really want to eat there now!

As a mother of two teenagers, I can tell you that the only good thing about the constant text messaging is that you can always locate your kids because they always answer their texts. :rotfl: Otherwise, it is clearly an addiction and comes off looking very rude. I just wonder how they will put the phones away long enough to hold down a job someday! :sad2:

Anyway, love your pictures and can't wait for more!

I hate waiting for the next installment! ! :headache:
Your pics and narrative are great, thank you for the TR.

popcorn::

First I want to thank your DH for everything he does for our country.
Secondly, you two are so stinkin cute and look so happy!!! I haven't read your other trip report so I'm going to do that whenever I get time and can't wait for more updates on this one!!! :)

I have to admit, I hate text messaging. DH and I don't even have it on our phones, and it was really starting to flip DH out on our trip. He hated seeing the little glow come on in the middle of shows and rides throughout the parks! Glad you're all caught up!

I'll do my best to get the next installment up soon! DH's going to be home in nearly 3 weeks so I am running around like a crazy person!

TIME OUT!!!! Is that a BASSET HOUND on your avatar?!?!?!?! We have a furbaby named Violet who is a basset, and we love, love, love her!

For good measure, here are a few photos of our baby girl:

She loves to lay in the front yard while I garden!

This is why I don't need a real child any time soon!

Alright, I could post a hundred photos of her so I'll stop there! I'm really going to feel like a dummy if your photo isn't a basset now! :rotfl:

Your Violet is ADORABLE!!! I love that picture w/her on your lap. My picture is a Basset. ha! His name is Jeter, he'll be 4 in November so I probably should put an updated picture of him but I love that one b/c it's the one we got emailed to us when he got picked for us from the litter. Love him!! I'm thinking of getting another one b/c he is SO attached to me!! He is my only 'kid' too!! :)
thanks for sharing the pictures!!! I don't know how to put pics in a post, otherwise I'd put some of jeter on here for you to see him now. :confused3

The markings on her body look just like his!!!

Oh my gosh! That view of the MK from your room is heaven! :cloud9: I never knew you could see the Castle that well from WL!

Artist Point food looks so good! I've only had breakfast there, but that was a long time ago!

The cake for Andrew is so nice! Was that big flower to the right of "Home" edible?!

Also, I just want to take the time to thank you and him for sacrificing so much for our country. You are truly appreciated beyond words!

There are very few rooms at WL that can actually see the Castle so we were very, very lucky! And yes, Artist Point was incredible! We will definitely be making a repeat visit in September for DH's birthday! The flowers were 'edible' but not so much. They seem to have been made of fondant or a similar substance so they did not taste good at all.

THank you so much for your kind words about DH's service. I can't lie, I am incredibly proud of him and so lucky to have him as my husband! I sure am ready to have him home though! Almost here!

You should be proud. I marched at a memorial day parade yesterday and the speaker was from the marines. He really made everyone appreciate how much our servicemen and women do for our country. I was glad to be reminded, because so many people forget! Fighting for one's country and freedom is such an underated job! :sad2:

Examples of good text messages: finding out what time to pick up your kids, finding out that soccer practice has been canceled, traffic alerts, finding out your coworker will be late, or in my case - that the OR schedule has been changed.

Bad text messages: those occuring while eating, in school, in church, while driving, ect.

Thanks for answering my question about the flowers on the cake! It all looked so pretty that I would've had a hard time eating it! :lmao:

I can't imagine how you must feel having him gone. Lots of hugs for you!:hug::hug::hug:

If you thought our trip couldn't get any better, just WAIT until you hear about our day at Epcot!

Our Fairy Godmother asked us to meet her at Epcot at 10:00am. We figured we would just stop in for a quick hello and find out where we had to head for our VIP viewing of Illuminations that she had set up for us. Since we didn't have to meet her until 10:00, we took full advantage of our first hour and hopped right on Soarin' at rope drop followed by Test Track. By this point it was time to meet our Fairy Godmother and say hello. She was very excited to meet DH and see me again.

We met her right on time at 10:00 and there were hugs all around! She then told us what a magical day she had in store for us. DH and I were going to have two personal guides for the day...Yes, you read that right, our own personal guides...TWO of them!.:cloud9::love::woohoo::cool2: HOLY COW!!!!

We then met Robert and Elton (from the YOAMD commercial), and we were ready to get our day under way. I didn't quite realize what this all meant until they asked us where we wanted to start. Elton thought it best that we start with #1 on the map and work our way through Future World. We went over to Spaceship Earth to begin our fabulous day, but rather than going in the front entrance, Elton weaved us in and through the back way. He then told us they were going to take us to the front of every line, and we could rides over and over again if we wanted to! WHOA!!!! :yay:

Next up was Mission Space. There was nooooo way this girl would be doing it, but I knew DH would love to do it. Robert and I walked Elton and DH all the way up to the final phase and DH and Elton went on. DH LOVED it! I knew it would totally be his thing! I thought it was very cool that Elton rode with him.

We then proceeded to the Test Track Pavillion where Elton had a special surprise for us. Little did most of us know, there is an entire private area with offices and meeting areas above Test Track! It is reserved exclusively for GM employees and retirees, but we got lucky and go to go up. The view was incredible!

DH also got a Magical Moment certificate from the super sweet woman working at the front desk thanking him for his service. It was so nice!

We then went downstairs and rode TT. After that we were off to The Seas where we got to explore the tanks and ride Nemo. Next up with Turtle Talk which was adorable. We didn't see it on our last trip, and it was so cute!

Now it was time to head back to the Land Pavilion which housed two of our favorite rides, Soarin and Living with the Land. Robert had to cut out for a bit to take a page so Elton walked us around the back of the building and into the final queue area. He decided to ride with us, and he had us hold our hands out and lean forward as we took of so it would feel like we were flying. SO cool!!! He then told us about the Hidden Mickeys on the golf ball and in the fireworks at the end. After our ride with Elton, we decided we should ride again with Robert since he is originally from Cali so we did! How cool!!!

We really were so blessed to have such an amazing morning at Epcot. Before we knew it, it was time to head to Le Cellier for our lunch ADR's....

Stay tuned to hear about our wonderful lunch, the rest of the afternoon with our new and dear friends, and the magical end to our day!

Oh, and P.S. I have to apologize for the lack of photos in this post, but clearly my camera was not my priority today! ;)

Awesome morning! How do I get one of those fairy godmothers????? :lmao: You guys totally deserve that! I can't wait to read more about your day at Epcot!

It's all about the magic of Disney I guess you could say! I won't be giving up her secret because I don't think she would like that too much!

Loving your TR - you and your husband seem like awesome people!!! Can't wait to hear more!!!

Thank you! I like to think we're pretty alright! ;):rotfl:

I think the cake was completely worth the money. It was an excellent cake and DH loved the surprise! :) I was very pleased with how it turned out.

Wow, those are cool pictures from above TT!

It's crazy because I had NO idea that area even existed! Our guides told us that actually most all of the countries have a similar area as do a few of the other FW world rides, but I don't recall which. It definitely a cool view of the park, and there were also several windows that looked into TT in the area where you test your brakes. It was cool to see the ride from that angle too!

Really great start to what sounds like an absolutely wonderful trip!

Welcome to my TR! Thank you so much for your very kind words about DH and me. I believe it really takes a great deal of faith and lots of prayers and thoughts from friends, family and even strangers! The DIS has actually been one of the most supportive groups of people I have ever 'met' and I haven't even met most of you!!! :)

I dont know why i didn't find this TR sooner!!!!

I am so happy for you and DH! If there is anyone who deserves these magical moments its you two. Anyone who has served in Iraq should be priased for their service! :goodvibes

Ok so now on to all these magic moment... woohoo for the concierge upgrade! :woohoo: What an amazing view!!!

And the personal tour guides!?!?!?! How awesome!!!!
