 Left WDW this morning. Ice/snow storm predicted in NC starting tonight and through tomorrow. Right now we're at FJ in Brunswick, GA. Hopefully we can make it home tomorrow. If not, we'll overnight at another FJ and watch the weather forecast for Friday.

We had a great trip! As always it was too short. I could spend months at the Fort without getting bored. Visited AK for the first time. I loved it, but DH thought it was just so-so.

LarryJ, so sorry I didn't know you were in our loop! I had a huge green Mickey head on the front of the MH, but unfortunately I didn't meet any DIS'ers. Didn't have internet access while we were there, so I didn't know where everyone was.

This was at least our 15th trip to WDW (have lost count), but we ate at Trail's End for the first time. Food was good, but the service was so lacking! Tuesday night our server, Sharon, was just downright rude. But I'm convinced it's the best deal for a meal in all of WDW. Just don't go there if you're in a hurry. We ate there three times, and it took us 20-30 minutes to get our bill and pay each time.

Transportation was quick and easy. One time we waited about 10 minutes for a bus. All other times we went straight from one bus to the next with no wait.

Crowds were heavier than we thought they would be this time of year. Mid-day some attractions had a 50-60 minute wait! Parks were crowded during EMH.

Went over to the Contemporary yesterday ... was impressed with the updates to the fourth floor. Looks really nice.

Just wish we were still there!

Thank you, crazy. We're very concerned about the driving conditions tomorrow but will be careful.

I think I saw your MH when we were walking our girls yesterday since it did have a green Mickey in the window, nobody was home and today you were gone. Oh well next time.

Larry

Glad you had a great trip.... sorry it's over so soon! Sounds like you had fun, though, and that's the whole point.

Safe travels home!!

CC, right now they are calling for a "wintry mix" from Raleigh and west to north. By mid-morning, it should be all rain.

How far up are you coming?

Driving to Hickory to get MH winterized at dealer, then home to W-S. We're keeping check on the forecast, will stop in the morning at Columbia or Fort Mill to recheck before going on.

Be careful out there !! I'm glad you had a nice trip :goodvibes

We were not overly impressed with T.E either, although our server Ken was awesome. :thumbsup2 The food was just average, but I am sure we will eat there a few times because it is so convienant. We like the food choices next door at WL better.

Are you going back later this year ?? It would be fun to get our schnauzers together at the dog park.:dogdance: paw: :dogdance: paw:

Just talked to MIL in Salisbury and they are expecting yuck. However, they are planning to drive to Raleigh tomorrow night, which is promising~they are freaked out in inclement weather! Just be careful. You want to be able to take your camper to the fort again! Don't try to push it, especially trying to get to Hickory! The weather has got to be worse there!

We go to W-S a lot, BIL lives in Clemmons.

Glad you had a good trip! I hate that end of trip depression! I always come home and start planning the next one to take the edge off!

Hey! I'm in Winston-Salem (well, actually K-ville).

All these fort fiends in WS! I'm Lexington but work in WS! Wish I could call the Fort home though.

We made it home safely! Thanks to all of you for your well wishes. Spent the night in Brunswick. Woke up this morning at 4:30 and it was 62. 50 miles up the road it was 52. Another 50 and it was 42 ... Snow on the ground in Columbia, SC, but by the time we got there the temp had gone up a little and it was raining. Roads okay the rest of the way home.

Swimnoid, I was born in Lexington and lived on County Home Road during my early years. I still have family there, also in the Silver Valley area and Welcome. My maiden name was Beck. Could we be related?

NicinNC, I grew up in the Union Cross area and graduated from East Forsyth a long time ago.

Pixie, I live in the Lewisville area now.

I could have met or know each of you! Small world! We should start a Piedmont Triad NC thread.

Shannone, we will probably go back to WDW in the fall but don't have reservations yet. But I doubt my Schnauzer would play with yours. She's so possessive, she thinks she should be the only dog at the Fort. She tried to attack two Great Danes there a couple of days ago. I really believe she thinks she's a person and that anything with four legs is an intruder!

Welcome home, CC. I was thinking about y'all this morning when I looked outside. The news had been predicting such doom for our roads and at 6:00 this morning, it was raining.:confused3

CC- That is so crazy! My oldest daughter was born at Forsyth Hospital. I went to college in Greensboro. DH in Raleigh.
I love Lewisville! It is the cutest town! BIL lived there before he built a house in Clemmons. SIL is a real estate agent there, so you may have heard of her. We went to Lewisville for 4th of July a couple years ago.
Now, we live in VA.

Wow! There should be a P-Triad thread!!! Our first home was in K-Ville! I was still in college in Greensboro, DH was working near Charlotte, so we got a little house in between! Momof5 lives near there, too. You two know each other?

We should have a mini-gathering at Hanes Mall!
