We're off again tomorrow very early :cool1:  :cool1: (5.30am!:coffee: ) and I wondered if there's any strike news? We're catching the VEA to DLP, but the TGV back to CDG on Saturday and I was hoping it all might have come to an end by then! Anyone know please?:confused3

Today more civil servants, teachers, newspapers were out; you will need to check www.ratp.fr for schedules and www.sncf.fr for press releases.

But things may improve as everyone is tiring of the strike.

Thankyou for the links. I hope it all finishes soon: it must be a nightmare for you trying to get around with all the disruption!

Luckily I am not in Paris anymore! But I am used to walking long distances... (although not all the way to DLRP!)

But I have colleagues there and most people are used to finding 'solutions'

Hi there,

we leave tomorrow for disneyland and just read that the strikes are still on going on. Will a majority of the trains be cancelled or just a couple of them?

We are planning on taking the train from Disneyland to Paris tomorrow afternoon, and then the TGV at about 7.30am from disney to CDG on friday morning.

:guilty:

With the civil servants joining and thus air traffic control, there were average delays today of about 45 minutes at the airports. But again, everything is VERY fluid and what occurred today may not be relevant 5 minutes from now ;)

Best is to make back up plans, stay flexible, and not get too stressed... :)

That is just not funny!!! OMG! Anyone know how I can find out if it'll affect us? We're on the 7.40am Easyjet flight from Bristol!

see my post above Sarah - we were posting at the same time

I'll try!:rolleyes1 :scared1: :rolleyes1 :scared1:

Strikes still on.

For those wondering about shuttle buses to the non-Disney hotels - there is a replacement coach service running to the shuttle timetable, more or less. No RER at all, reduced number of TGV.

Keep an eye on ratp.fr though re RER - there are some running at some times of the day on some of the lines, but they will be VERY congested. Some times of the day it has 'none', other times '1 every XX minutes' listed

this is bad news. my flight in the morning from disneyland to get the VEA and im scheduled on one of the first tgvs of the day.

My flight is at about 9.30am from CDG. What do you suggest i do?!?

im flying with BMI baby. what is the likelyhood of them allowing us on the later flight, do you think? (currently £130+ on the website!!!)

ok, I lost my reply! so I try again

  • TGV trains have had some disruption. check www.sncf.fr for most recent updates
  • VEA leaves too late for you - first runs after 8am and gets to CDG after 9am
  • you can book a shuttle service or taxi tonight - may be worth the money
  • I would also call BMI TONIGHT and see what they say re later flights
  • if the air traffic control delays continue tomorrow, then your flight may actually be delayed
  • plan to get up earlier than usual, ask your hotel to check if you can't yourself if the TGV is running (I assume that you were trying for the 0729hrs departure, which is the first of the day)

yes thats the train. thanks for the reply.

is there any computers with internet access at dlp or any of the resorts?

Sorry, I always have my laptop with me so don't know, it may be on the hotel sticky. But the HNY may well have a business centre onsite as well?

Or if you are leaving the park stop at train station and see if the SNCF office is open, or at the information desk. They will also have the latest updates.

But as always, what is current now will not be current tomorrow morning.

Best of luck!

I am also off tomorrow via Eurostar fingers crossed all goes well for us and all of you guys off tomorrow too (staying at Hotel New York)

Millie sounds you have the best way to travel this week, which avoids all the potential delays and disruptions! :)
